How did you see that shit all the way out in Canada? You know Vancouver doesn't give a damn about The U. Although they probably remember it as the school which produced Steve Francis, who refused to play for the Grizzlies when drafted by them.

TV sportscaster Mills charged in burglary Crime Watch Originally published January 26, 2006 Keith Mills, who has delivered sports news on WMAR-TV for 18 years and has battled drug addiction, was arrested yesterday and charged with the theft of prescription pain killers from his next-door neighbor.
Mills, 48, a sports anchorman, was arrested at his home in the 200 block of Cheddington Road in Linthicum at 1 p.m. and charged with two felony counts of first-degree burglary and two misdemeanor counts of theft, according to charging documents...
In an interview with The Sun published a month after his arrest, Mills said he had beaten the problem and, "It boggles my mind how easy it is to get caught in that trap."
Scott Garceau, another WMAR sports anchor, said last night that he has worked with Mills for nearly 20 years and saw no signs of trouble in recent days. "At this point, I'm just feeling for Keith and his family," he said.
Drew Barry, the station's general manager, did not respond to requests for comment.

Could you imagine having to report this if you were on Channel 2? I saw it last night and couldnt believe it. Check Balitmoresun.com or other local news sources for the full story.

very surprising story there. never would have pegged mills as having a drug problem. if anyone from the wjz sports crew was going to get arrested, the smart money would have been on john buren for his occasionally drunk reports and hideous fashion sense (sort of like a media version of gary lee wooters).

Texas Man Exposes Himself While Attempting To "Meet" METALLICA Drummer: Jan. 25, 2006 BLABBERMOUTH.NET has obtained a photo of a drunken Texan man trying unsuccessfully to approach METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich at a Houston bar while allegedly exposing himself in a failed attempt to "urinate" on Ulrich. According to The Daily Cougar writer Jason Gagnon, who "broke" the story earlier today, the man in question — a visibly wasted local rocker by the name of Bill Fool (whose bands include BICKLEY and the DOWN 'N' DIRTIES) — noticed Ulrich sitting in a corner of the Jet Lounge in Houston last Friday (Jan. 20). "After some recon work, it turns out [Lars] was in town for the Basquiat exhibit since he owns some of the paintings on display," Gagnon writes. "So, in a moment of divine inspiration, Bill found someone with a camera, walked over to the rock star's table" and exposed himself but "when whoever it was that tossed Bill saw him walking close to Lars with his dick out, [Bill] was instantly out the door." Whether it's true or not I think it's a good concept. I know people who would like to piss on Lars also.

White Castle wants the day after The Superbowl to be a holiday! If a marketer can't own Super Bowl Sunday then, at least, they can try to own the following day by creating a holiday. White Castle has launched an online effort along with a petition to turn the day after the Super Bowl into The "Day After The Big Game Holiday." Referring to the holiday as DA Day, White Castle believes the day is necessary to recover from the previous days eating and drinking and obsessive viewership of Super Bowl ads. LA get "Heavy Metal TV Show, Mav Himself to constantly request Slayer videosFormer adult film and wrestling star Jasmin St. Claire has reinvented herself once again, this time as host of "The Metal Scene TV Show", L.A.'s hottest new heavy metal television show. Commented St. Claire: "I've been immersed in the extreme metal scene for years — both a fan and a personality via my work as spokesmodel for B.C. Rich and Coffin Case, and more recently as host of the DVD-zine 'Metal's Dark Side', which is due in stores this spring. I'm honored to add 'The Metal Scene' to my resume. While there is some national profile for mainstream heavy metal and in recent years for nu-metal, there are literally dozens of sub-genres of metal that go unacknowledged and unheard on any mainstream level every day. I'm excited to be a part of bringing some of the most exciting new metal music from the underground out into the mainstream via this television show." St. Claire's early interviews will include profiles of such bands as CHILDREN OF BODOM, WICKED WISDOM and GOD FORBID, among others. Jasmin will also release her highly-anticipated, tell-all authorized autobiography this summer. To learn more about Jasmin's new show, visit www.TheMetalSceneTVShow.tripod.com.

Natasha Lyonne's got a warrant out!Only a matter of time til' she signs that Surreal Life contract!Once again, Natasha Lyonne is a wanted woman for all the wrong reasons. The onetime American Pie star, who has publicly fallen on hard times in recent years, has yet another warrant out for her arrest, after she failed to appear at a court date Friday, the New York Post reports. Lyonne is facing a number of charges, including her alleged threat to sexually molest her former neighbor's dog during a 2004 altercation. She is also charged with criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing. Friday's hearing was rescheduled after the actress missed court dates earlier in the week. Last Monday, her lawyer explained to the judge that "an emergency has come up," but confessed that he did not know what the emergency was. The latest absence marks the fourth time Lyonne has missed a court date and the third time a bench warrant has been issued for her arrest. The most recent warrant against the troubled actress was cleared up after it was revealed she spent most of the summer being treated at a New York hospital for hepatitis C, a heart infection and a collapsed lung. Per the Post, the actress was also receiving methadone, a drug commonly used to combat heroin addiction. A source familiar with the case told the newspaper that Lyonne's arms were covered with needle tracks at the time she was admitted to the hospital. Lyonne reportedly entered the hospital following a stint at a psychiatric facility. Before that, she was believed to be living on the street, according to the Post. "I'm crying actually. It's terrible, you know. It's my little girl," Lyonne's father, Aaron Braunstein, told Access Hollywood at the time. "It's a terrible tragedy, but she's going to get better. We're praying for her, and she's a tough girl." Lyonne reportedly passed on playing the roll of Lisa Pardoe in the direct to video release of "The Fall of Ponyland", which should hit video stores way before Swarm of The Snakehead sees the light of day. The actress recovered sufficiently to leave the hospital, but has apparently returned to her prior address of whereabouts unknown.

Britney Spears to guest star on Will and Grace... why? Because Will & Grace needs more whores!Britney Spears will guest star on an episode of "Will & Grace," NBC announced Tuesday. The pop star will appear as a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes' character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show, on the April 13 episode, the network said. Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's." As a young girl, the 24-year-old Spears was a regular on "The Mickey Mouse Club." After becoming a pop singer, she starred in the critically panned 2002 film "Crossroads." Last September, Spears gave birth to her first child, son Sean Preston, with husband Kevin Federline. "Will & Grace," which also stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally, is in its eighth and final season. It airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. (EST).

Steven Seagal to film "modern day tale of revenge" in New Orleans
Seems Steven Seagal isn’t a bad guy after all. In an effort to get some currency back into the ravaged New Orleans community, the big guy has insisted he shoot his new movie “Prince of Pistols” in New Orleans. Writer Joe Halpin says, “I just left there after scouting a few locations. It's pretty sad. A lot of devastation. That's one of the main reasons Steven insisted on shooting it there - he wants to get some money back into the community.” Haplin claims the film, which could be Seagal’s semi-comeback, is “ a modern day tale of revenge. There'll be lots of Blues legends in it. And it will feature some of Steven's own music. This one has a bigger budget and is with Screen Gems”. “Prince of Pistols” is one of several films about to get going in the New Orleans area. Tony Scott’s prepping “Déjà vu” in the area, and Dan Myrick is set to film “Solstice” nearby. Official Site: www.stevenseagal.com

Chappelle will explain himself to OprahOn Friday's show, comedian will discuss his sudden vanishing act[/b][/i] Comedian Dave Chappelle, who shocked fans last year with his sudden disappearance and reports of a stint in a mental-health facility, will tell all to Oprah. Chappelle, creator of a self-titled Comedy Central hit, will appear on Oprah Winfrey's talk show Friday to discuss “why he walked away from $50 million,” according to her Web site. The comic signed a massive deal with the cable network for two more seasons of “Chappelle's Show,” and then mysteriously vanished last April, reportedly resurfacing in a South African mental-health facility just a month before the scheduled May 31 launch of his program's third season. He later returned to some stand-up comedy bookings, but the future of his cable show remains in limbo. One reporter who interviewed him during his South Africa stint said Chappelle's faith as a “practicing Muslim” had begun to clash with the increasingly raunchy, raw material he was penning for his program. Comedy Central executives later made plans to air some completed sketches from the new season. Winfrey's site promises that the comedian will answer “the big question ... will he go back to his show?”
