On Monday, Ponyone had the chance to meet Geraldo Rivera. It turns out that Geraldo has a huge custom made sailboat from Germany and he brought the boat to Oxford Boatyard for service and storage. He and his family were on the boat and at the yard all afternoon. We went up and talked to him for a bit and he's a really nice guy. He was asking us all questions and talking with us quite a bit. The captain also took some pics of us with Geraldo which I should have sometime soon. Geraldo is short, probably about my height (5'10 or so) and talks with more of an accent than when you see him on tv. He was rocking out in a Polo t-shirt and cargos. Anyways, pic coming soon. www.geraldo.com/

Now Chief, I'm not the one that has boats catch on fire that I've just worked on. I think he better get that insurance first. I'll tell him tomorrow.

Geraldo has been to Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and a boatload of other war torn countries. Hell, he even got his nose broken with a chair on one of the early shows that was titled "Men in Lace Panties and the Women Who Love Them".
The Oxford Boatyard is probably the most dangerous place he has been in years with Pony One and Chief rolling around. He is lucky he made it out alive. Little does he know that Mike The Basement Troll is stowed away in the belly of the ship!

Pone, do you even know who Walter Cronkite is? And why would he be bringing his boat to the OBY when he hangs out in Marthas Vineyard.

Yeah, yeah I know who he is. And it's true - he's bringing his 60 ft sailboat/yacht, Wyntje to OBY for a paint job.
