INGLORIOUS BASTARDS
Inglorious Bastards is an upcoming war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, who is currently filming Death Proof, one of the two movies as part of the Grind House project.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Tarantino revealed that one of the projects he worked on in the six years in between the releases of Jackie Brown and Kill Bill was trying to hammer Inglorious Bastards down as a script. Instead of a conventional 100- to 200-page script, he wrote a 600-page work in three feature-length parts.
Tarantino's movie title, Inglorious Bastards, is taken from the 1977 movie Quel maledetto treno blindato. The film was directed by the Italian director Enzo G. Castellari and was known in the United States as Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino's film is not intended to be a remake, but rather an homage to the earlier film, as well as The Dirty Dozen, The Great Escape, Where Eagles Dare, Cross of Iron and other war movies.
Inglorious Bastards will star Michael Madsen as Babe Buchinsky.
In 2005 and 2006, internet blogs, chat rooms and message boards reported that Madsen had stated that several major stars have been attached to the project (according to Tarantino), including Tim Roth, Sylvester Stallone, Paul Walker, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Johnny Depp, John Travolta, Christopher Walken, and Bo Svenson, who starred in the 1977 film. However, the same blogs also reported that Madsen said filming would "definitely" start in 2005. In a September 2005 interview with MTV, Tarantino denied that anyone besides Madsen had been cast, and stated that all other casting reports are nothing more than speculation.

STALLONE CONFIRMS TARANTINO INTEREST
RAMBO star SYLVESTER STALLONE has confirmed rumours he could star in QUENTIN TARANTINO'S long-planned World War II movie INGLORIOUS BASTARDS.
The war epic was initially rumoured to team up eighties action heroes ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, BRUCE WILLIS and Stallone, but the Tarantino movie looked to have put on hold while he filmed GRINDHOUSE.
However, the ROCKY actor is hoping the PULP FICTION filmmaker gets in touch as he would love to star in the war movie- as it would make up missing out on a part in Grindhouse because he was too busy making future installments of Rocky and Rambo.
"He says, ""I would love to work with Quentin Tarantino and had heard rumours about this World War II epic.
"I would be insane not to work with such a brilliant filmmaker. I was hoping to work with Quentin in his new Grindhouse film, but unfortunately Rocky and Rambo duties prevented that from happening."
