Muthagoose may be interested as well. If we're gonna do it, we have to figure out what we're doing because I think the packages will sell out soon. I doubt anyone wants to charge $800 to their credit card (you're only allowed to order two packages). If we order separately, we won't be sitting together. But I think that's the only way we can do it. And like I said, we need to figure this out as soon as possible.
This is a ridiculous amount of money, but I see it as a once in a lifetime type of thing.

The more I think about this, the more I'm thinking it's just too expensive. I haven't made a final decision, but that's what I'm leaning toward.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has rejected Internet reports that the group's reunion single, "If I Die Tomorrow", features guest appearances by session musicians DJ Ashba (ex-BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) and Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE) on guitar and drums, respectively, in place of regular members Mick Mars and Tommy Lee.
The song, which was co-written by Sixx with members of the Canadian pop-punk band SIMPLE PLAN, is scheduled to appear on the band's upcoming greatest-hits collection, "Red, White and Crüe", due on February 1, 2005 via the Hippo/Motley/UTV imprint.
Writing the band's official message board, Sixx said of the Internet reports, "In talking to Mick [Mars] today he said, 'Why would someone say shitty things like that?' And I said, 'I don't know why people do what they do sometimes bro.' I'm sure there are reasons, and I'm not interested in other people's motives, but my bro just went thru hell and is living proof that he's here for one reason, to play guitar.
"I'm having the best time of my life right now, so let me just help some of you understand what weve been thru.
"1) Yes, I wrote a song with the lead singer and guitar player from a band called SIMPLE PLAN (no, we didn't do their song). I also wrote with Bryan Adams and others in my career. I love to write with all kinds of artists; you would be surprised at the cool music I've been involved in when collaborating with others. I love it..also, when SALIVA did 'Rest in Pieces' did MÖTLEY write their single because im in the CRÜE? No. I also wrote with Stacy [Jones] from AMERICAN HI-FI recently...
"2) When we tracked the four new songs, we weren't all there at the same time. Tommy was doing a book tour (and his show), Vince was doing gigs (and his show) and Mick was in surgery. Welcome to my crazy world. This is how it had to work. We played the guitars (scratch tracks) until Mick was out of the hospital and he could do his own parts. Give the guy some respect. He is the man of steel — he's had surgery, recorded new music, done photo sessions, interviews, a video and is right now playing like a motherfucker. Amazing, I wish I had his strength. In fact, we're writing music as we speak. I'd think there is something to celebrate for all four of us to be doing this. And the fact that we don't do what people want or expect is the heart of MÖTLEY CRÜE.
"Thank you. I hope this info helps clears up the bullshit…"

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message on the group's web site:
"Here we go, buckle up and hold on tight. The engines are engaged and the runway is clear for takeoff. Lights, action, rock 'n' roll. Here we go again on Dysfunction Junction Airlines. We only guarantee one thing, it's gonna be unpredictable.
"God must love a drama, or he wouldnt of created MÖTLEY CRÜE. Like going to the car races, so many of us hopefully will see a car crash. Macabre in nature....we expect to be entertained. We won't disappoint.

Former L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns, who co-founded BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION with MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx, has apparently been banned from posting on the CRÜE message boards after stating in a web posting last week that the new MÖTLEY CRÜE single was "shit." Writing to Metal Sludge's "Gossip Board" last Friday, Guns said, "OK, I am the biggest MÖTLEY fan in the world and this new song sucks donkey's ass, elephant's ass and my mom's ass. Vince's [Neil] voice has never been better and they made him sing this shit. I am embarrassed. Yes, Nikki's my best friend, but I ain't goin' along with this one 'cause I would look like a donkey's donkey. "Look at it this way... If I brought in a song like that for BRIDES, I would surely get fired and Nikki would be very vocal with his opinion as well. That's what friends do. Unfortunately, friends don't always listen to each other." In a follow-up message, posted earlier today, Guns said, "Nikki had me banned ,,,,, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... It's an honor to be banned by Nikki Sixx. "How do i get hooked up with these egomaniacs? I just WANNA ROCK!!!!" Responding to queries about Guns' apparent banning from the CRÜE message boards, Sixx wrote, "Thanks for assuming, but I don't have any idea. I'm not in the BRIDES. Maybe the webmaster had his fill of the bullshit."

The raucous rulers of the sex-and-drugs-fueled nightlife on L.A.'s Sunset Strip have returned to their old stomping grounds. All four original members of MÖTLEY CRÜE, the glam-metal gods who've sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and who paved the way for other seminal rock acts, have reunited for the first time in six years, announcing a new world tour — VH1 & VH1 Classic Present "Mötley Crüe: Red White & Crüe Tour 2005…Better Live Than Dead" — and giving their fans a live taste of it. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, December 11 at Ticketmaster and VH1.com.
The event at the Hollywood Palladium began at 6:00 p.m. with a press conference announcing the tour, a new anthology album and the debut of a fresh single and video, "If I Die Tomorrow". The new tour, it was revealed during the press conference, resulted not only from strong demand by homegrown audiences, but was largely fueled by the diligent efforts of Mags Revell, a U.K. promoter with Metropolis Music Group, who launched his own grass-roots campaign in the U.K. designed to get the band to reunite. Taking the unprecedented steps of placing advertising in U.K. media and putting a hold on concert venues in the U.K. for June, 2005, Revell's efforts quickly gained traction with fans all across the world who added fuel to the fire by taking to the Internet and spreading the word.
Said Revell, "I honestly did not know until now whether MÖTLEY CRÜE would respond to our efforts. With the help of tens of thousands of fans in the UK and around the world, I wanted to show the band that there was a real demand for their reunion and I took a big risk. This is the band that we all never thought we'd have the chance to see live again and I strongly admire them for responding to their fans. It is the realization of a dream for so many people for whom MÖTLEY CRÜE represents what rock music is all about.”
"MÖTLEY CRÜE are a gang of musicians that climbed the mountain of rock to success," Allen Kovac, CEO of Tenth Street Entertainment, said in a statement. "This tour and new music delivers to all those who love one of rock's most passionate and aggressive bands."
Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee, the original members of MÖTLEY CRÜE, whose stature as the world's most infamous rock band was made legend in their NY Times best-selling autobiography "The Dirt", will be touring the world in 2005, beginning with arenas in the U.S. and Canada in February. Cool to see that Virginia Beach made the list. That certainly increases the odds of me catching the reunion tour, considering that I can get to the Ampitheater in 10-15 minutes on a light traffic day.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has clarified his current status in BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION and has commented on the recent war of words with his BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION bandmate Tracii Guns, who publicly referred to the new CRÜE single as "shit."
In an online posting, Sixx said, "In thinking back on my great times with Mr. Guns and gang, I have nothing but fond memories... Basically, we kicked major ass together... so now we try to kick each other's ass... Ah… the simple life… just like green acres (from hell)… so let me put it to you in a nutshell.
"I'm proud of the band. I want them to go on and kill the world. I respect Tracii as a player. We have a friendship carved in flesh with razorblades. (sometimes painful and very human)
"Yes, I'm disappointed at him for airing his opinion in public with such venom when he knows how important this is to me and the guys. I put my heart and soul into the new crue....so there I said it....disappointed in a friend… Got it??
"As far as heart and soul, I put it into the BRIDES too... I used every connection of mine for the band (got us a record deal, merch deal and world tour on my name), pulled favors and funded it myself.
"So do I believe in it?? Fuck yes. Or I wouldn't have done that for us. Do I believe they can go on without me?? Hell yes.....and trust me when I say it will rock.
"Am I gonna do the CRÜE the next 12 months??
"Fuck yes…
"What's after that??
"Who the fuck knows..
"Cross that bridge when we get there..."

Karen Bliss of JAM! Music is reporting that the new MÖTLEY CRÜE single, "If I Die Tomorrow", is actually a leftover song from SIMPLE PLAN's recording sessions for their latest album, "Still Not Getting Any..." The common denominator is Bob Rock, who produced the CRÜE's new material after completing work with the Montreal rock band.
"It's pretty dope to be thinking that such a influential huge band chose to work on a song that we wrote, for their comeback, their greatest hits package and their reunion tour. It's pretty amazing," says SIMPLE PLAN drummer Chuck Comeau, who co-writes SIMPLE PLAN's songs with singer Pierre Bouvier. "They just shot a video. The song's going to radio. It's pretty mind-blowing."
After Rock produced SIMPLE PLAN's follow-up to the 2002's 1.7 million selling debut, "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls", he went to work with the reformed MÖTLEY CRÜE line-up (Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars). Knowing the metal band was looking for new songs to add to its 2-CD anthology, "Red, White & Crue", Rock brought "If I Die Tomorrow" with him.
"It's fun that we wrote the song and we loved it when we wrote it but it didn't really sound like it belonged on the album," says Comeau.
"After our project, (Bob) was going to work with MÖTLEY CRÜE on like four new songs and they were looking for people to the write with and looking for songs, so Bob played them the song and they really liked it. (Bassist) Nikki Sixx worked on some stuff on it, changed a few lines, then they recorded it. It's the original line-up that recorded it, and we're really stoked about it.
Sixx didn't alter much, says Comeau, just a few lines in the verse and some other minor things, but it was enough to give the band a piece of the publishing.
"Anytime you write a song with anybody, you have to figure out how you split it up, and it was really chill with them and cool. They could have been jerks and said, 'We're MÖTLEY CRÜE. We gotta take this.' But they're not like that at all. They were always gentlemanly. It was awesome."

OK, so what's going on with the concert. Tickets are on sale now through the VH1 presale. Who's going and who can order tickets? I've ordered about a zillion concert tickets this year (Ozzfest alone cost more than $500 total), so it would be nice if someone else volunteered. I can pay right away.

I have decided to catch the Crue during the summer tour. There is way to much spending going on for Christmas for me to charge anything else. Plus, I still am awaiting loot from Horrorfind.
So I am definitely in for the summer tour.

Jamie Gumbrecht of The Dallas Morning News is reporting that an arrest warrant for misdemeanor assault was issued for MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil Wednesday (Dec. 15) in connection with a beating at Gilley's Dallas in October. If convicted, Neil faces up to one year in jail and a fine of $4,000.
"I'm glad to hear it," says Michael Talbert, a Gilley's soundman who was knocked unconscious after a punch allegedly from Neil pushed him to the floor. "There's no reason, as far as I'm concerned, why anybody should act like that. I don't care if you're Vince Neil or John Doe."
During the Oct. 30 show, Neil motioned for more guitar volume but bolted across the stage as Talbert adjusted it, according to the police report attached to the warrant. He then jumped onto the soundboard and kicked at Talbert. Although the singer's foot missed, he then punched Talbert in the face, knocking the soundman unconscious for about 45 seconds.
A CAT scan showed a mild concussion, says Talbert, a 44-year-old Fort Worth resident.
Police gave the singer a criminal-trespass warning before he left the club and headed to Houston for a Halloween show.
Neil can contact authorities himself. If he doesn't, Dallas police and prosecutors said they probably will wait to act on the warrant until he returns to the area in March. His representatives did not return phone calls this week.
Earlier this month, MÖTLEY CRÜE members announced a reunion tour that will bring the band to Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie on March 17. Theater officials said this week they hadn't heard about the warrant and didn't know if an arrest could affect the show.
Neil missed the warrant by about two days; the singer was in town Monday for a private solo show at the Granada Theater. Attendees said it was a wild party but with no signs of arrests or CRÜE-style bad-boy antics. Event coordinators said he had already left town Tuesday.
"It was a pretty raging party," says Tyler Krueger, a marketing representative who planned the 600-person bash. "I had a lot of people tell me it was the best party of the year. Vince opened the show, did a great job, sounded great, just like back in the day."

Marion Raven, formerly one half of Norwegian pop group M2M, was asked on her official forum about collaborating with MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx on her debut solo album. "It first started with me going to CBGBs in New York and his band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION was playing there," she explained. "Then his band came to Norway in June and I went backstage and met Nikki Sixx. We ended up writing two songs together that will be on the album."
Marion Raven's solo debut is tentatively due next year via Atlantic Records.
Marion is currently being managed by manager Allen Kovac of 10th Street Entertainment, who also represents MÖTLEY CRÜE, among other artists.

In a recent interview with Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil was asked to comment on the Ashlee Simpson lip-syncing controversy. "I'm glad [she was exposed on national TV], too, because there's a lot of people… the majority of the new people that are out there now, these teenagers basically do movies and then figure they can just go out and put out a record," Neil said.
"The way the technology is today, you can just go in there and sing, and a guy can actually adjust every syllable and every word that you just sang and make it sound amazing. And then these people go on stage, and they have no talent, so they lip-sync. And it's cheating everybody.
"I'm glad she got caught. And I've seen her sing since then, and she sucks.
"If you've got true talent, you don't need to do that.
"There's some other people that I've talked to some producers that… some chicks that have done a couple of albums and sold millions, and they spent weeks and months editing their vocals to make them sound good, and they only spent one day in the studio and did the record — one day. It's pretty sad.
"This has gotta stop. It's not about talent anymore, it's about money.
"If you've got the cash, you could go make a good record."

The four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE were recently interviewed by Metal Edge magazine for a cover story about their upcoming reunion tour. Several excerpts from drummer Tommy Lee's portion of the interview follow: Metal Edge: Over the years, you were always the most vocal about not going back to MÖTLEY CRÜE. Why go back now? Tommy Lee: "I'm here… You know, I played on a couple of tracks, and [our manager's] been talking about people wanting us to come out and do some shows. I was like, 'Well, I'm making another record right now, the timing for this is fucking terrible, there's so much shit going on, but maybe I can kick the thing off and get it started...' I'm not sure, there's a lot of open things here, so we'll see what happens. Fuck, we haven't even rehearsed! [Laughing] [note: the interview was conducted prior to the press conference on Dec. 6 announcing the reunion tour] Here we are making a video and recording songs. This is so fucking weird. [Laughing]" Metal Edge: Have you guys even been in contact at all? Tommy Lee: No! Me and Nikki [Sixx, bass] were in there to record… Yesterday was the first time the four of us were even in a room together!" Metal Edge: Did that feel weird? Tommy Lee: "Yeah, it was fuckin' strange! And seeing Mick [Mars, guitar] was really freakin' me out… Really freakin' me out. I was sitting there yesterday when he walked in, and I was like, 'Whoah!' It made me extremely sad — it's just fuckin' crazy! The doctors are saying he's going to be fine by February, but they must know something I don't know. We're all supporting him, and we're all being buds, but it looks painful. I don't know what to say. It's quite a shocker, actually." Metal Edge: How did the new material come about? Tommy Lee: "One of the songs is a cover [ROLLING STONES' 'Street Fighting Man'], which I didn't play on — I think Josh Freese did. I think 'If I Die Tomorrow' came from SIMPLE PLAN. I played on that one, and 'Liar' is another one I played on. Then there's 'Sick Love Song' — that's the one that I told everyone should be the first single, but nobody's listening to me around here! I guess I can't expect them to, when you just jump in and everybody's already got it figured out!"
Metal Edge: It doesn't sound like getting back together was very organic.
Tommy Lee: "I'm going to be really honest with you, I just think this is all really rushed. First of all, my heart wants Mick to get well, and then let's go fuckin' rip it, it'll be awesome for one last time. But he's not in good health right now, and a lot of this doesn't feel good to me. Everyone else is in a good headspace here, but if I were running the show, I'd wait 'till he was absolutely one hundred percent, then go fuckin' rip it. This is scarin' me, but the doctors are saying he's gonna be fine. Who do I listen to around here? Paul Stanley [KISS] just had a hip replacement [at the same time as Mick], and he's still walking with a fucking cane, and that dude goes to the gym every day, he's in shape! That was only two months ago, and we're already talking about doing shows here!"
Metal Edge: The tour's set to start in February. Do you know how long it's supposed to last?
Tommy Lee: "From what I know, it's something like 35 shows in America, then Europe, Japan, Australia… But this shit could only last a week, we don't know…"

Dude Looks Like a Lady
Watching the VH1 special on Vince Neil's remaking last night, I was stunned to hear Desmond Child [music producer] state that the Aerosmith song, "Dude Looks Like a Lady," was inadvertently written about Vince Neil. It seems that Child and Steven Tyler were sitting together at a bar in '85 or '86 when a full glamoured-out Vince Neil walked in and sat down. Tyler remarked, "[That] dude looks like a lady." From there a song was born.
Pretty amusing, if you ask me.

Variety.com is reporting that viewers watching Friday night's live edition of "The Tonight Show" on NBC probably did a double-take when, just after the clock stuck midnight, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil turned to his bandmate, drummer Tommy Lee, and said, "Happy fucking New Year, Tommy!" Because Jay Leno has aired a live New Year's edition for many years without problems, Peacock execs apparently decided against using a five-second delay on the broadcast.
Because "Tonight" airs after 10 p.m. — and thus outside the FCC's so-called safe harbor in which indecent programming is forbidden — it seems unlikely NBC will face any financial fallout from the slip-up. Still, given that many kids get to stay up late on New Year's, some parents might have been taken aback — though unlike the Super Bowl fiasco, Neil's use of profanity seems to have gone unnoticed by activist groups.
NBC edited out the offending word for West Coast viewers.
"The network has not received any calls regarding the incident," an NBC official, who asked not to be identified, said Monday, according to the Associated Press.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message in the "Diary" section of CRÜE's official web site:
"As far as the FCC probe and MÖTLEY CRÜE (regarding our New Year's Eve show on 'Leno'), wouldn't our country be better served if our government put their resources in better places? This is just proof that we are moving backwards. A four-letter word slip-up after midnight is not world news, but considering their ridiculous stance, I will say it reeks of the 1950s.
"Anyway, doesn't MÖTLEY CRÜE usually do the probing?
"About Mick Mars and all the rumors of his replacement… He was the guy whose bone disease had tore him physically down and wore out his hip. He was the one who said 'I'm gonna get this fucking hip replaced,' so you guys better be ready 'cause I wanna go kick ass. We are, he has and the rest, as they say, is history.
"See you CRÜEheads on tour..."

Norm Clarke of The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports:
Rapper MC Hammer announced, "It's Hammer time!" as he escorted MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil down the aisle Sunday at the Four Seasons.
In front of a celebrity crowd that included Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Dennis Rodman and Playboy playmate Brande Roderick, Neil and Lia Gerardini exchanged vows in an emotional ceremony with Hammer officiating.
Randy Kubota, who was supposed to have served as Neil's best man, was hospitalized with serious injuries after a mysterious accident Friday.
Kubota was found in a drainage ditch near the Las Vegas Beltway and Rainbow Boulevard after leaving a party at Neil's home, a choked-up Neil told me shortly before the wedding. He apparently had been pushed out of a car, a source said.
"We don't know what happened," Neil said.
Standing in as best man was Burt Stein, Neil's personal manager.
Others attending the ceremony were Palms owner George Maloof, "Baywatch" co-creator Michael Berk, Britney Spears' former manager Larry Rudolph, Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Fiedler, Aladdin executive Mike Mecca and his wife, Sandy, the Hard Rock Hotel's Kevin Kelley and his wife, Terry, comedy impresario Jeff Beacher, Palms VIP host Marko Greisen, Kerry Simon, Neil's hairstylist Michael Boychuck and his wife, Karen, Dennis Haskins, Michael and Jenna Morton and artist Christian Lassen.
