PAPA ROACH To Headline ZIPPO HOT TOUR In Support Of 'The Paramour Sessions'
PAPA ROACH will headline The 2006 Zippo Hot Tour this November in support of their forthcoming fourth album on Geffen, titled "The Paramour Sessions", due out on September 12. Since the release of their major label debut album back in 2000, PAPA ROACH have released three smash albums: "Infest", "Lovehatetragedy", and "Getting Away with Murder", selling 9 million copies of those titles combined worldwide. They have scored eight consecutive hit singles on the rock charts including "She Loves Me Not", "Last Resort", "Getting Away with Murder" and "Scars". "We are stoked to be headlining this year's Zippo Hot Tour,” commented Jacoby Shaddix of PAPA ROACH. "When Zippo approached us about this opportunity we couldn't say no. Supporting local music scenes has always been a priority for us, and the fact that the Zippo Hot Tour gives a young local band an opportunity to have a career in the music business is amazing." The 2006 Zippo Hot Tour kicked off on March 1 when rock bands from ten U.S. cities — Austin, TX, Charlotte, NC, Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Milwaukee, WI, Orlando, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Philadelphia, PA and Tampa, FL — began registering for an amazing opportunity. With 388 bands making the quarter-finals cut, the first round of online voting for the 2006 Zippo Hot Tour began on May 15 at zippohottour.com. Determined by online fan voting, the top bands in each of the ten cities will then take to the stage to compete live in September at special Zippo Hot Tour regional showcase events. The winners of this round will be announced on or about July 14. All of these bands are again competing for a shot at being showcased to a major label, almost $100,000 in prizes, and a spot on stage with PAPA ROACH during their tour this fall. PAPA ROACH: Entire New Album Available For StreamingPAPA ROACH's upcoming fourth major label album, "The Paramour Sessions" (due Sept. 12), is available streaming in its entirety at this location. www.clearchannelmusic.com/cc-common/mfeatures/player/player.html?songLink=foreverL&folderName=paparoachSP&gateway=exitingIn a recent interview with Launch Radio Networks the group's lead singer, Jacoby Shaddix, revealed that he's a little nervous about people hearing the record because it's an especially personal one. "I'd say overall it's the most personal band record that we've ever written," he said. "It's definitely got a lot of love, it's got a little bit of hate, but it's got a lot of frustration and angst and rage, and also coming to terms with a lot of crazy personal issues with us as far as love goes, you know. So it's definitely a deep record for us, and it almost sometimes cuts too deep." The first single from "The Paramour Sessions" is called "...To Be Loved". The band has scheduled a September 8 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and a September 9 performance on CDUSA. PAPA ROACH will team up with H.I.M., LOSTPROPHETS and KILL HANNAH this fall on an 11-date tour dubbed No Sleep Till Halloween, beginning on October 18 in Lowell, Massachusetts. PAPA ROACH will also headline the 2006 Zippo Hot Tour in November, with dates and cities yet to be announced.

PAPA ROACH Frontman Hesitant To Meet AXL ROSE
Launch Radio Networks reports: PAPA ROACH opened for GUNS N'ROSES last night (Tuesday, October 31) in Jacksonville, Florida, its fifth show on that band's new North American tour.
Although PAPA ROACH singer Jacoby Shaddix says the tour is going great so far, he admitted to Launch that he has yet to meet a personal hero, GUNS frontman W. Axl Rose: "I'm just hesitant to meet Axl, man, I'm just like, I don't know. Probably by the end of the tour I'll end up meeting him, but so far I have not met him yet, which is like, you know sometimes, when you, like, imagine what somebody would be like and then you meet 'em and then you're like, aw, you're bummed out? I'll probably end up meeting him. Everybody says he's a cool cat, so I'm sure we'll click."
PAPA ROACH plays tomorrow (Thursday, November 2) in Greensboro, North Carolina with GUNS N' ROSES.
After finishing up with GUNS, PAPA ROACH will headline the Zippo Hot Tour, which will begin on November 13 in Norfolk, Virginia. BULLETS AND OCTANE and (HED) P.E. will also be featured on the tour.
PAPA ROACH recently released its fourth major label album, "The Paramour Sessions".

PAPA ROACH Extends Tour, Ponders Acoustic Recordings
Launch Radio Networks reports: PAPA ROACH has extended its current North American tour, with a newly confirmed batch of dates finishing up on March 4 in Clifton Park, New York. The trek begins on January 23 in Eugene, Oregon and will take in a number of Canadian gigs before swinging back down into the States. PAPA ROACH is touring behind its fourth major label album, "The Paramour Sessions", which came out last fall and features the current single, "Forever".
Meanwhile, singer Jacoby Shaddix recently told New-Noise.net that the band is considering the possibility of recording acoustic versions of some songs from the new disc and putting them up for sale on iTunes. Shaddix told Launch that PAPA ROACH wants to get its music to people any way it can: "We're trying to get our music out in a lot of different ways, you know. We're promoting our album on the Internet, we're promoting our record on rock radio. We're promoting our music on television. You know what I'm saying? We're working, we're hoping people are talking about our band, you know, just on the street, you know, as word of mouth, you know. So it's just a matter of taking advantage of all these mediums and getting our music out to people because there's so many ways to do it."

PAPA ROACH: Album Pushed Back To Next March
The Pulse of Radio reports that PAPA ROACH's fifth major label album, "Metamorphosis", has officially had its release date pushed back from this fall to March of 2009, according to HardDrive Radio. The CD was tentatively slated to come out either in September or October, although a firm release date had never been established. Frontman Jacoby Shaddix admitted he was a little disappointed but told us it would be worth the wait: "It's kind of a bummer it can't come out this year, you know, but it's like, we want to set it up right, you know, and this record's just a monster. When we got done with it, we sat back and listened to all the cuts and we were just baffled that we wrote this record, you know. And I think what makes it great to us is that it was a challenge."
"Metamorphosis" will follow up 2006's "The Paramour Sessions". The disc will mark the recording debut with PAPA ROACH of ex-UNWRITTEN LAW drummer Tony Palermo, who replaced founding drummer Dave Buckner last year after Buckner went down with substance abuse issues.
One track, called "Lifeline", was co-written with James Michael of SIXX: A.M.
PAPA ROACH recently finished touring with SIXX: A.M., MÖTLEY CRÜE, BUCKCHERRY and others as part of Crüe Fest, and will begin a new trek with STAIND and SEETHER on October 4 in Columbia, Maryland.
