WARRANT Reunites With Singer JANI LANEWilliam Morris Agency has released a brand new photo of the reunited WARRANT, featuring the group's original frontman Jani Lane. Although WARRANT has yet to officially confirm that it is once again working with Lane or to announce its 2008 touring plans, it is widely believed that the band will take part in this year's Rocklahoma festival — which will be held July 11-13, 2008 at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, Oklahoma. In a November 2007 interview with the "Taz at Night" show on Kalamazoo's 92.5 WZUU radio station, Lani said, "I'm in negotiations to bury the hatchet with the WARRANT guys as far as all the legal crap goes… which is very good news, you know. If we can put that to bed and stop walking around all day in the the house cursing each other, then who know what might happen down the road? I'm not saying we'll ever do anything together again, but it certainly is a step in the right direction." When asked if that means that we may see him once again fronting WARRANT at some point in the future, Lani said, "What I'm saying… [Laughs] We've actually spoken, we've actually agreed to stop fighting each other in court over stupid issues and just get back to letting bygones be bygones. You know, like I said, I never closed the door on anything, so who knows?"

Warrant To Begin Work On New Material Before End Of Year
Reactivated '80s rockers WARRANT will hit the road this summer with the band's most successful lineup, consisting of vocalist Jani Lane, guitarists Joey Allen and Erik Turner, bassist Jerry Dixon and drummer Steven Sweet. The trek, also featuring CINDERELLA, will launch at the Rocklahoma festival and will also include an appearance at the Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin on July 17.
Regarding how it feels performing with Jani Lane once again, Sweet told the Artisan News Service, "It's freaking bizarre." Allen added, "It's like a time warp." Sweet continued, "It brings back a lot of memories obviously. Joey and I have been back in the band for the last three years without Jani, so it's like a new old thing again."
Asked if the band has plans of getting back into the studio together to write new material, Sweet said, "Not immediately, but we're already working on new ideas and probably by the end of the year, once things slow down with travel, that we'll get back in and start putting some things down."
