POISON To Release '20 Years Of Rock' Collection In April
Because You Can't Stop Rock... and one greatest hits album is never enough!

POISON, one of hard rock's most iconic, enduring and controversial bands, celebrates 20 years in 2006. To commemorate this anniversary milestone and the band's career tally of more than 25 million albums and DVDs sold around the world, POISON and Capitol/EMI Music Catalog Marketing have partnered to release "The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock" on April 4.

The new 18-track collection packs POISON's biggest hits and fan favorites and will also debut the group's explosive new version of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD's "We're An American Band", produced by Don Was (THE ROLLING STONES, BOB DYLAN). In May, POISON will hit the road for a major 20th anniversary summer tour sponsored by Live Nation! and presented by VH1 Classic.

With the band's most recent studio album, "Hollyweird", along with "Poison Greatest Hits", which just reached double platinum, and their gold-certified "Greatest Video Hits" DVD, POISON continues on with a do-it-yourself attitude, also touring to sold-out venues around the world. POISON frontman Bret Michaels recently appeared on the cover of Billboard and Radio & Records magazines for his recently released solo album, "Freedom of Sound", and his 2005 solo tour broke attendance records at several outdoor venues. Michaels' rootsy Americana style has helped the album's lead single, "All I Ever Needed", cross from rock to country airplay charts. Bret Michaels Needs Your Help!

POISON singer Bret Michaels is tired of being shot at, and he's asking for your help. Back in November in Massachusetts, someone fired a weapon at him that shattered a window on his tour bus, and a similar thing happened last week, when a window in his car was shot out while he was driving in Los Angeles. Michaels told Launch that he hopes anyone with information on what's happening will come forward. "I'd like to believe it's random, but it's getting pretty scary at this point," he said. "And I'm not a fearful person of much of anything — meaning I'm not a person that lays down and says, 'That's it. I'm not doing nothing.'But at the same time, this is also my family, my daughters — there's a lot of other people involved — so anything that would lead to any information would be very helpful."



Michaels has no idea who's behind either shooting incident, but he told us that there's one person who's been under scrutiny for quite a while. "The FBI's been investigating a guy by the name of Mark Kram," he said. "We cannot figure out who this is, because obviously it's his name spelled forward and backwards. They've been investigating that since the early '90s. And we've gotten so many death threats, and they've become weirder and stranger over time, so it's pretty scary."

Sunday night's (July 29) episode of VH1's "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" earned a series high 1.9 million total viewers in the key 18-49 demo, 23% higher than last week's episode which averaged 1.4 million viewers. In addition, the episode ranked among the Top 10 programs on all of cable for the day at #8 in the demographics.

"Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" is a 10-part series that airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. EST/8:00 p.m. CST on VH1. Bret Michaels and Poison Break Attendance Record at the Mississippi Valley Fair

Playing to a record breaking crowd of over 28,000 fans and bringing arena rock and roll back to the mid-west, legendary rockers Poison broke all previous attendance records at this year's Mississippi Valley Fair on Friday night.

Shattering previous records previously held by artists such as Gretchen Wilson and Def Leppard according to the venue's general manager, Poison rocked the fair, which they last played in 2002.

Bret Michaels is featured in the September issue of Blender for the mag's "Hot Report 2007", where the POISON singer was asked to give a hot rumor about himself. "The best one I read was that I was extremely well endowed," responded the partner in Pamela Anderson's other sex tape. "I'm not going to put John Holmes out of business, but I'm above average. I measured it, just to make sure I wasn't lying to myself." As for whether troop surges are hot, Bret said, "I come from a military family. I'm a huge supporter of our troops. More 'Rock Of Love 2' Details Revealed

Bret Michaels is charged up ready to embark on the new season of "Rock of Love".

The first season of the controversial series propelled VH1's ratings to new heights as it posted the highest ratings of any show on the network. "Rock of Love" continues to be the #1 most streamed content on VH1.com, and the finale of the series attracted a staggering 5.4 million viewers.

The second season, which airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. EST on VH1 (beginning this Sunday, January 13), promises to include even more mayhem and controversy! POISON frontman Bret Michaels will guest on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" Friday night (technically Saturday morning), January 18. Michaels will also appear on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on Wednesday, January 23. A taped interview with Michaels will air on "Extra!" today (January 16). Sunday night's (January 13) 9:00 p.m. season-two premiere of "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" scored a 2.6 in the key P18-49 demo, up +166% from the first season's premiere. "Rock of Love With Bret Michaels" Season 2 Revs Up Sunday Nights On Cable!

VH1 kicked-off 2008 with a bang! Returning series, “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels” Season 2 broke ratings records and catapulted VH1 to another successful Sunday night of most-watched television.

The show's premiere night in the episode in which Poison front-man Bret Michaels met his new batch of ladies attracted 3.7 million total viewers. Airing Sunday nights at 9pm EST on VH1, “Rock of Love” Season 2 Premiere on January 13 was the night’s most watched cable program among P18-49 viewers and ranks among VH1’s top 10 telecasts in the network’s history.

During this season of “Rock of Love 2,” Michaels will put these 20 new women through various challenges, which include a talent show, Mud Bowl 2, rodeo, custom chopper & video vixen challenges. The ladies that succeed in these challenges will join Michaels on some wild and exclusive excursions, while those who can’t hang like true backstage VIPs will be escorted out in bona fide rock star fashion.

Residing with Michaels in his new Los Angeles rock palace, these women will be tested on their devotion to him and their love and understanding of all that is rock-n-roll. show on the road with his solo band in a series of nationwide concerts.

Bret Michaels to release "Rock My World" in April 2008

VH1’s hit reality show Rock Of Love With Bret Michaels 2 is not only a mega success itself taking the top spot numerous times on all of cablevision, but it’s bachelor star has recently hit the network airwaves with special guest appearances on television’s top talk shows like Regis & Kelly, Ellen, and the Conan O’Brien Show.

In addition to those accolades, late night television staples such as David Letterman and Saturday Night Live have also given a nod to Rock Of Love with featured skits. SNL scored some of its highest ratings that week, they did a 10-minute Rock Of Love sketch that was dead on perfect. One publication cited the great imitation as a definite indication that the SNL staff had to
be avid Rock Of Love viewers since they did such a great job with it!

Not only can you see Michaels on Rock Of Love this spring but you will also be able to read all about his life this fall when the singer’s much anticipated authorized autobiography is released by renowned publishing house, Simon and Shuster.

You’ll also be able to see Michaels in an all new light when The Biography Channel premiers its Biography on Michaels set to air April 5, and when Fox airs their special celebrity edition of Don’t Forget The Lyrics featuring Michaels in May.

Rikki Rockett Reportedly Arrested on Rape Warrant

TMZ.com and LA Daily News are reporting that POISON drummer Rikki Rockett was arrested on a rape warrant issued out of Mississippi as he arrived at LAX after getting off a flight from New Zealand, police said.

Rockett (born Richard Allan Ream), 46, was arrested Monday at the airport and booked into the Los Angeles County Jail, according to Los Angeles police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Inmate Information web site. He was held on a strong-arm rape warrant stemming from Neshoba County, Missisippi, and appears to have been released from L.A. County custody, the Sheriff's Web site shows. His status today could not be confirmed.

Details about the warrant were not immediately available.

Rockett and singer Bret Michaels -- high school classmates -- founded Poison together. He was in New Zealand to reunite and perform with other original members of the band at Rock2Wellington, a huge heavy metal show.
