VH1's 'RATT: Behind The Music' Special To Air In Early April According to a posting on former RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy's web site, VH1's upcoming "Behind the Music" special focusing on RATT will air the first week of April. More information will be made available soon. As previously reported, Pearcy will be joined by bassist Chuck Wright (QUIET RIOT) and drummer Scott Coogan (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION) for his upcoming "Metal In America" tour with BANG TANGO and PRETTY BOY FLOYD (beginning in early February). "We've rehearsed twice so far and what's coming at you is a heavier, meaner machine," Pearcy writes in a statement. "It kinda just happened — I needed a rhythm section for 'Metal In America'. What I got is as heavy as it gets. We're more than ready to Ratt n' Roll, maybe throw in some VICIOUS DELITE, ARCADE this time around. Let the games begin!" Perris Records has set a March 7 European release date for the solo album from Stephen Pearcy, entitled "Fueler". This CD will contain four brand new studio bonus tracks not found on the U.S. version of the album: "Novocain", "Red Licorice", "Wide Open" and "Under World". Pearcy will embark on a solo tour of Europe this spring to support the release. "Mmmmmmm... Ratt N' Roll Music."

RATT Reunion In The Works?
Vocalist Jizzy Pearl (LOVE/HATE) appears to have left RATT, the band he has fronted for the past six years following the departure of original singer Stephen Pearcy. In a Dec. 4, 2006 posting on his official web site, Pearl wrote, "It's time to go. Thanks to all the RATT fans for all the good times and good luck to the guys for the future."
Although there has been no official confirmation on the matter, it is believed that RATT's original/surviving members — Pearcy (vocals), bassist Juan Croucier, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer — are planning to reunite for a tour in 2007. According to a posting on the Metal Sludge web site, rhythm guitarist John Corabi — who sang for MÖTLEY CRÜE on their self-titled 1994 album — will most likely stay with the group, whose last studio album came out in 1999.

POISON, RATT Tour Confirmed
Mitchell Peters of Billboard.com reports: A full itinerary is still being confirmed, but POISON and RATT will join forces for a summer trek starting June 13 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, S.C., and wrapping Aug. 19 at the Coors Amphitheatre in Denver.
The tour, which brings POISON and RATT onstage together for the first time since 1999, will visit amphitheaters, festivals and fairs in such cities as Boston, Detroit, New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles, says Troy Blakely, who books POISON with the Agency for the Performing Arts.
"Generally we're going to play 50-60 dates," Blakely tells Billboard.com. "I'd say 30-35 are sheds. The rest are various festivals, fairs and indoor shows."
Confirmed festivals thus far include Birmingham, Ala.'s City Stages (June 16), Bay City, Mich.'s Bay City River Roar (June 22), Pryor, Okla.'s Rocklahoma (July 13) and Sturgis, S.D.'s Buffalo Chip (Aug. 5).

RATT 'Reunion' Lineup Confirmed
After much speculation and anticipation following the airing of their "Behind the Music" episode on VH1 last spring, multiplatinum hard rock act RATT with vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer will grace the stage together for the first time since 1999. Plans for not only a U.S. summer tour but a full-fledged comeback are being mapped out now as the band prepares to hit the road with POISON. The band's own tour dates will extend into the fall and may also include shows in Canada, Europe, Japan, South America and Australia. Joining the band onstage will be bassist Robbie Crane and guitarist John Corabi.
A full itinerary is still being finalized, but POISON and RATT will join forces for a summer trek that is scheduled to begin June 13 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville, S.C., and wind around the country through the end of August.
The tour, which brings the two bands onstage together for the first time since 1999, will visit major U.S. cities such as Boston, Detroit, New York, Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.
The band has recently aligned with Carl Stubner, CEO of Sanctuary Artist Management (ZZ TOP, Mick Fleetwood/co-manager of FLEETWOOD MAC, Tommy Lee/ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, PAULINA RUBIO, JACK'S MANNEQUIN) and is booked by Jay Frey at Paradise Artists.
RATT made their mark in the early '80s going "Round and Round" with a string of hit songs, videos and four consecutive multiplatinum albums (over 16 million albums sold worldwide). Their arena-filling live shows set the standard for all bands to follow. Creating anthems for the youth of that era, their music and performances maintain a timeless quality to this day.

RATT Singer Says Band Plans To 'Get Working On New Music'RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy has posted the following message on his web site: "The RATT 'Back for More' 2007 Tour began with a great first show in N.M., then the POISON/RATT show last night [June 13]. Good to see Bret, Bobby, C.C. and Rikki. It's been awhile since we (RATT and POISON) had a full-blown tour together. That was 1987. POISON's got a good show. They're kickin' ass, ready and sounding great. It's gonna' be a kick-ass party! Pleasure, guys! "We're (RATT) getting the machine movin'. Whole new breed of RATT here, getting back to basics. On this tour were going to play a variety of songs. We didn't want to do the same set every night. So by the end of the tour, hopefully we would have played the unexpected. Not just the songs expected. We have a meaner machine and having good time. Nitro instead of gasoline! "There's so many songs we haven't played in years and songs never played from the catalog. We're doing 'Dangerous but Worth the Risk', 'Closer to my Heart', 'Sweet Cheater', 'Nobody Rides', 'Over the Edge', 'City to City', maybe you'll hear 'Giving Yourself Away', 'Dance', or 'I Want a Woman'. "It's only Ratt 'n' Roll! "The new RATT DVD video compilation and 'best-of' CD is coming out soon that includes an unreleased song from the 'Reach' sessions, 'No One Can Stop You Now', that we might end up playing on this tour. "Warren [Demartini, guitar] and I are out here with a digital studio, plenty of guitars and are going to get working on new music. Maybe we'll have enough ideas to get into the studio end of year. The band intends to stay out after the POISON tour and finish some U.S. dates, then do some international dates. "We also have the Evan Knoll-owned, Clay Millican-driven, 'Torco Racing Fuels/Skull Gear/Ratt' Top Fuel dragster out there. Check NHRA.com for events, web links and appearances. The band and I will be making as many appearances at the races as we can to support the team. "A big 'thank you' to Evan Knoll, Latrell, Clay (kick some ass! Millican) and everyone on the team, Dan 'Danno'. See ya at the races! "It's the year of the RATT, just (20) years later." "Hot dudes in tight pants... now that is Ratt N' Roll music!"

STEPHEN PEARCY Enlists THE DONNAS For 'Round And Round' Remake
THE DONNAS guitarist Allison Robertson and vocalist Brett Anderson have collaborated with RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy on a remake of the RATT classic "Round and Round".
"Yes, [Stephen] rules, and yes, he is a bad-ass," Allison writes in an online posting. "The track was something he had had in the can for a while, but he invited us to come DONNA-fy it up, Brett trading verse lines with him, doing the harmony and leads in the chorus, and I did the harmonized solo section and laid down some rhythm as well. Not only THAT, but Stephen and possibly another special guest shall be joining us onstage at the Crash Mansion show in L.A. on February 6th for a very special rendition of the tune."
Pearcy's third solo effort, "Under My Skin" will be released in Japan on King Records in February-March 2008. Top Fuel Records will make the CD available online first to the hardcore Pearcy RAT BASTARD fans, and RATT fans worldwide.
"Under My Skin" finds Pearcy returning to the early RATT roots, featuring material that is positive and aggressive when needed. Pearcy plays almost all the guitars and solos. Erik Ferentinos (RAT BASTARD, THE ANTIDIVISION lead guitarist, vocalist) is also co-writting again on the new CD.

RATT: Forced To Cut Monterrey Concert Short And Perform Without Singer STEPHEN PEARCY
According to an article published in the June 29th edition of the El Norte newspaper of Monterrey, Mexico, RATT was forced to cut short its Friday, June 27 concert in Monterrey after lead singer Stephen Pearcy appeared to be incapacitated and was unable to complete the show. At one point, according to the article, Pearcy lost his balance and fell into the crowd before being helped back to the stage by the venue's security personnel, only to fall backwards. He then got up and resumed singing as if nothing had happened. After performing for about 50 minutes, the band abruptly left the stage and reappeared a few minutes later, this time without Stephen. Rhythm guitarist John Corabi, who is best known for having replaced Vince Neil as the frontman for MÖTLEY CRÜE in the early 1990s, apologized to the crowd and blamed the mishap on "jet lag" before taking over on lead vocals for a few tracks, including a couple of solo numbers and the RATT songs "Body Talk" and "Round and Round".

STEPHEN PEARCY: RATT Frontman's New Solo Album Now Available
Stephen Pearcy's Under My Skin, his third solo album, is out now.
Known to tens of millions worldwide as the frontman for pivotal '80s rock outfit RATT, Stephen Pearcy continues to prove that what comes around goes around.
During the brief days when rock meant staring at your shoes and complaining about stardom, Pearcy was still cool enough to chill your beer. Armed with his new solo record, Under My Skin, Pearcy is indeed back for more.
“The '80s were colorful, dangerous and fun,” smiles the charismatic frontman, whose band gained him global notoriety and over 18 million album sales. “Although the '80s are fresh to a whole new generation, I never stayed there. And I never gave up the idea that rock n' roll should be about good times and having fun,” a philosophy that Pearcy rings in on Under My Skin with unmistakable clarity.
When Pearcy was growing up under the sunny skies and sandy beaches of San Diego, his heart was set on becoming a race car driver. In a cruel twist of fate, Pearcy was bed ridden after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. A friend of the teenager brought him an acoustic guitar, which opened a new door in Pearcy's life.
“I didn't intend to be a singer - I went into my first audition with my guitar and they said, 'We already have two guitar players - can you sing?'” Pearcy picked up the mic, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Fast forward to today - millions of screaming fans, tour bus miles and record sales later, Pearcy is still rocking, and to a wide audience. Drag racing fans nationwide have heard his songs 'Are You Ready?' and 'Drive With Me' on ESPN2's popular NHRA TV show. Pearcy's tunes have also appeared in videogames, indie horror flicks and as B-sides on rap singles.
His drag racing anthem 'Are You Ready?' makes it first appearance on Under My Skin. his new solo album, which Pearcy produced with Matt Thorne. The album also features the drum talents of former CINDERELLA / ARCADE skin pounder Fred Coury and guitar wiz Eric Farentino, who shares some of the albums songwriting credits.
“I went back to basics on this album, I did a lot of writing and soloing, of course the lyrics and singing,” says the Ratt n' roller. The album features a remake of 'Round and Round', featuring the Donnas. The ballad 'Time Slips Away' is a tribute to late Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby. The first single is 'In Out Of Love'. “It's deep stuff, fun stuff, dangerous stuff. It's all just another day in the life,” laughs Pearcy. And what a life it's been.
Under My Skin was released in the United States and Japan on July 22nd on Airline/Top Fuel Records.
