WEDNESDAY 13 Working On His 'Most Catchy, Glam, Punk, Rock 'N' Roll Record' Ever
MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 has entered the studio to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead". Over 30 songs have been written for the album, including "Buried With Children", "My Home Sweet Homicide", "Morgue Than Words", and "Till Death Do Us Party". Wednesday is handling the production duties once again for a tentative late spring worldwide release on a soon-to-be-announced new label. Commented Wednesday: "So much has been done this week and the results have been great. I'm really excited of how it's all turning out and I think this is truly going to be the most catchy, glam, punk, rock 'n' roll record that I have ever made in my entire history. "We started tracking on Saturday, February 25th in Charlotte, NC to record the new album (yes — there is a title, it will be revealed soon!) with my old pal Jamie Hoover, who is going way beyond the call of duty on this one so far, thanks Jamie. "Out of about 30 tracks, we finalized it down to 16 songs we plan to record. Not all 16 will make the album, but I'm thinking 12 tracks and a bonus track in certain territories. We also recorded two cover songs 'Burn the Flames' by ROKY ERICKSON and the RAMONES tribute song 'R.A.M.O.N.E.S.' by MOTÖRHEAD. "Ghastly completed all of his drums tracks in the first day (a very long day I might add) and did a great job. I began tracking everything else. bass, guitar, vocals, on Monday of last week and was averaging 2 to 3 songs completed in its entirety per day. Things are coming along quick and I finished 12 songs total last week. Only a few more left and I will be done this week I'm sure. I'm still not sure on who will be mixing the album?? I have a few people in mind that I would like to approach about mixing it but we'll have to just wait and see. "The new label is in place but the paperwork is in the way of me making an official announcement, so stay tuned for that. "I can't wait to get back out on the road and play the new stuff for all of you, this is going to be a great year and I'll see you all soon."

WEDNESDAY 13 Signs New Record Deal, Parts Ways With Band
Horror rock king WEDNESDAY 13 has signed a new worldwide record deal with Rykodisc/Restless Records. Rykodisc has set a tentative summer release date for the new album, "Fang Bang", the follow-up to 2005's "Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying and the Dead". As reported earlier this month, Warner Music Group recently entered into an agreement to purchase Ryko Corporation, Rykodisc's parent company, for $67.5 million dollars. Wednesday has also announced that he has parted ways with his 2004/2005 touring line up.
"Yes, it's sad, but unfortunately true," he said. "I have decided to part ways with the entire W13 line up. This decision has many sides to it, and was difficult to make. At this time, I feel it is the right thing to do. I want to say that I had some of the best times with Kid Kid, Ghastly, and Piggy D and I can't thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication that they put into this. We have parted ways on good terms, and there are no hard feelings between us. I truly wish them all the best of luck."
Wednesday 13 has assembled a special line up for the following shows:
Apr. 27 - Chicago, IL - The Metro Apr. 29 - Toledo, OH - Club Bijou
Wednesday 13 (MURDERDOLLS) - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar Eric Griffin (MURDERDOLLS) - Lead Guitar Racci Shay (ex-GENITOTURERS, REJECTS [pre-MURDERDOLLS]) - Drums Brix - bass (ex-SKRAPE, DOPE)
This lineup reunites Wednesday 13 with MURDERDOLLS bandmate Eric Griffin for the first time since 2003.
Rykodisc/Restless Records have also announced the May 9 release of "Little Box of Horrors", a limited-edition box set of Wednesday 13's pre-MURDERDOLLS band FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13. Featuring five CDs and one DVD, the collection spans the band's history from 1996 until 2001 and includes all four of their original albums plus a rarities disc and a DVD containing a live concert from 1998. The European version will be released by People Like You Records on May 29. It will contain different artwork than the American release, will be limited to 2,666 copies and will come with a FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS key holder, poster and a 26-page booklet.

WEDNESDAY 13's BOURBON CROW To Hit The Road
BOURBON CROW, the country side project of Wednesday 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS frontman) and his former bassist Rayen Belchere, will embark on a short tour of Texas between September 9 and Sepember 15. According to a press release, "these will be stripped down, acoustic shows." The first confirmed performance is September 15 in Houston, Texas at THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT pre-party at the Red Room (Meridian). THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT will perform later that night with THE GORE GORE GIRLS and THE PHANTOM ROCKERS.
BOURBON CROW released its debut CD, "Highway to Hangovers", on Horror High, LLC in October 2006. The band will return to the studio later this year to record its sophomore effort.

WEDNESDAY 13 To Begin Recording New Album This Week
Wednesday 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS) will begin recording the follow-up to 2006's "Fang Bang" this week. Wednesday has written and plans to record 20 songs for the latest outing, titled "Skeletons". Tentative songtitles include "From Here To the Hearse", "Dead Carolina", "All American Massacre" and "Not Another Teenage Anthem".
Says Wednesday 13, "I'm really excited about the new music, it's totally and completely different than 'Fang Bang'!!! The new music is pretty heavy and probably the most dark and personal record I have ever written."
In other news, Wednesday 13 has sent notice to Rykodisc — the label which released "Fang Bang" — that they have missed their window to exercise their contractual option to release the next WEDNESDAY 13 CD.
"'Fang Bang' has done really well and it's without a lot of support from Rykodisc," says Wednesday 13. "I am not badmouthing them. The fact is, the week we signed to Rykodisc the president of the label and our A&R guy left to go to another label and then a few days later, Ryko, like many labels, had more staff cuts, including our publicist and radio guy. They did the best they could, given the situation. In the past year, I have done more touring, both overseas and in the U.S., than I ever have. With the help of my booking agent, manager and the great support of the fans, we have continued to grow our audience."
Also on the Wednesday 13-related front, he has recruited former MISTER MONSTER/MICHALE GRAVES guitarist J-Sin Trioxin to fill the vacant guitar slot.

WEDNESDAY 13 Involved In Car Accident; All BOURBON CROW Dates Cancelled
Wednesday 13 (ex-MURDERDOLLS singer) was involved in a car accident late last night (Sunday, September 9) as he was returning home from rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming BOURBON CROW tour (Wednesday 13's country project). According to a press release, the car flipped at least once, leaving Wednesday 13 with a broken collar bone and a fractured ankle. All BOURBON CROW dates will be cancelled at this time while Wednesday 13 recuperates.
Wednesday 13 had just finished recording his new solo CD, "Skeletons". Tentative songtitles set to appear on the CD include "From Here to the Hearse", "Dead Carolina", "All American Massacre" and "Not Another Teenage Anthem".
Wednesday 13 will tour the U.S. for the month of October and then head overseas for his "Fan Appreciation" tour in November.

WEDNESDAY 13 Comments On Decision To Self-Release Next CD
Former MURDERDOLLS singer Wednesday 13 recently announced that he will forgo signing with a record label in North America and will self-release the "Bloodwork" EP and a new full-length, "Skeletons", this April.
Commented Wednesday 13, "We care about the music, the release and our fans. To a record label, we are a statistic. Record labels sign an endless number of bands each year, and they are never 100% focused on your project. After a long 4 1/2 months negotiating a worldwide deal with a label, we knew they would never give us the attention we needed. Each year, our touring base has gone up, but each year the record labels have been putting less CDs on the streets. The biggest complaint we heard for the past year and a half was that our fans couldn't find the CD. The record label would say there was no demand, the fans would complain they couldn't find the CD — and whenever we would have CDs on the road, we would sell out. We know our fans, we know where they shop and we want to be able to give back to them."
Horror High, LLC has set a February 5, 2008 U.S. release date for Wednesday 13's video project "Weirdo-A-Go-Go". "Weirdo-A-Go-Go" features the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely. The project was shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc. Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESCENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.
Commented Wednesday 13: "My last CD, 'Fang Bang', with the backing of a major label, was not available at a lot of retail stores. However, 'Weirdo A Go-Go' has continued to build momentum, and we recently got the biggest order for the release, from Hot Topic! A feat that a major label could not do for us on my last music release."
He continued: "'Weirdo A Go-Go' is a great opportunity for the fans to show their support by going to these stores and purchasing copies or demanding copies of the DVD. By doing this, the stores get to see what the fans want and they know the demand for the product. This is only going to insure that my new CD, 'Skeletons', will have a place on the shelves as well in these stores. Let's show the system that the underdog can win despite the odds against it. The fans are the reason Hot Topic, FYE and these huge chains have embraced 'Weirdo A Go-Go', and the fans are the ones who can make this a success."

WEDNESDAY 13 Partners With HOT TOPIC
WEDNESDAY 13 has announced that his upcoming CD, "Skeletons", will be available exclusively at Hot Topic.
Commented Jon Nelson, Wednesday 13's manager, "Once we decided to self-release Wednesday 13's upcoming music, the next step was to partner with a company that would be excited and support the release. Music retailers are closing their stores at a rapid place, or they are gauging the customers and jacking the prices up for a new release to $14-$17.99. There is no reason for that. We made one call to Hot Topic, and we are extremely excited about this relationship. Hot Topic will be the only brick-and-mortar store that will be stocking the CD. You will still be able to get the CD online and on tour."
As previously reported, "Skeletons" is said to be Wednesday 13's "most personal" recording to date. Although still infused with horror overtones, the CD deals with Wednesday's depression, desperation and a struggle that almost caused his untimely demise.
Wednesday will self-release "Skeletons" in North America on April 29, but will be teaming up with a label for overseas distribution.

WEDNESDAY 13: Clarifies Bloodwork EP Release
WEDNESDAY 13 has issued the following blog:
"There has been a lot of misinformation regarding the Bloodwork EP.
The situation is we are selling it on tour FIRST.
It will be available online and hopefully, if the deal is done on time, available on the overseas run as well. We are working as quick as possible to get the deal done.
I know there are some people buying extra copies and reselling them because other fans are worried that they won't be able to get a copy. Please, do not believe anything unless it is posted on our MySpace page.
As Wednesday has said time and time again, the point of being an indie artist is he gets to do a lot of the things he could never do in the past. The entire point of how we are doing things is to be able to give back to you all.
Since April 29th, Wednesday has released a full length, an EP and we are already working on a live DVD/CD for you all! And there are still other things in the works that haven't been announced.
As we said, we are doing this to give back to the fans.
Oh... and September 22nd is the Australian release date for Skeletons.
Things take time... but we are working as fast as we can!"
