SEBASTIAN BACH Seeks New Label HomeJohn Benson of Billboard.com reports that former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has with Artemis Records and is currently shopping his new solo album, tentatively titled "Angel Down", to some "major labels." He hopes to have the project out next year. Bach has been pegged as the opening act for the upcoming GUNS N' ROSES stateside tour that gets started Oct. 20 in Jacksonville, Fla. There is no truth to the rumor that Bach is considering signing with Live-Metal Records at this time.

SEBASTIAN BACH: Acoustic Version Of New Song Posted Online
Sebastian Bach has issued the following update:
"Last Tuesday [Nov. 7], we went to WCCC Radio in Hartford, CT at 2 in the afternoon the day of show to perform three songs live, acoustic, in the studio. We did 'Little Wing' [JIMI HENDRIX cover], 'I Remember You' [SKID ROW], and the brand new song 'By Your Side'. It is always with some amount of trepidation that I enter into these situations live on the radio 'without a net,' not knowing the surroundings or how good the sound is gonna be. Well, I am happy to say that the session went great and I am real happy with how the sound went out on the air live all over Connecticut. Check out 'By Your Side' acoustic version [at this location]... the album version is not acoustic but I am really digging how Metal Mike and Johnny Chromatic pulled this song off without drums or bass. This song was written by [producer] Roy Z [HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON] and myself and will be on the new record coming out in 2007!"

SEBASTIAN BACH: VELVET REVOLVER Can't Do 'Welcome To The Jungle' Because WEILAND Can't Sing It
Ross Raihala of TwinCities.com recently conducted an interview with former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach. A few excerpts from the chat follows:
On what it's like to be back playing arenas:
"It was the most amazing thing for Axl to ask my band to join the tour. It's something I've waited for for a long time. I get offers to do those package tours, the nostalgia-oriented ones, but I always say no. But GUNS N' ROSES, that one I'll do. I'm very, very lucky. There's a lot of firsts on this tour for me. We got to play a sold-out Madison Square Garden. There have been a lot of places I've never played before, and for an old guy like me, it's great."
On what Axl's like behind the scenes:
"He likes to laugh. He likes to joke around, like, a lot. And he's got the most unique voice I've ever heard. His speaking voice is this low baritone, Clint Eastwood kind of a voice. And then when he laughs, it's like a boy soprano's highest note that comes out. You know, he's singing better than ever now, and that's a fact. That's one thing about Axl people forget. He is one of the best rock 'n' roll singers that ever lived."
On the sometimes long wait from his solo set to "My Michelle":
"Well, I've been on the road since June. And, you know, that whole 'My Michelle' thing is great. I sing my own stuff, then wait two or three hours and jump up there and scream even harder. I've been doing that every day. It's good work if you can get it. The one thing I've learned about myself — and I learned this when I did 'Jesus Christ Superstar' — is that my voice is probably the strongest part about me. It's the rest of me that gets tired. My legs and my eyeballs and my arms and my brain. But my pipes are fine."
On his appearance on "SuperGroup":
"My favorite part of it was when I tell the powers that be to f— off. I just love that. And when they brought that stylist in, I'm, like, 'No, I'm not cutting my hair.' They tell me she cut Jennifer Lopez's hair. Dude, Sebastian Bach has cooler hair than Jennifer Lopez. I look at music as a form of self-expression. I don't need a stylist. Why doesn't she have her own band if she's such an expert? Whatever. My father was a famous painter, and as a little boy, I watched him wake up every day, get his paintbrush and paint all day. He did that 'til the day he died. My microphone is my paintbrush. That's what I do."
On getting the call to star in "Jekyll and Hyde" on Broadway:
"I was, like, 'Do you have the right phone number? Why are you calling me?' They sent the script, and I was on the road with my solo band playing some f——— dump. I was looking around at this club and thinking, hmmm, Broadway or this place? Honestly, though, I didn't think I could do it. The script is so thick, it's like 300 pages or some s—. It's all in old English, and there were these words I'd never heard before in my life. There's 17 songs, and I'm in every scene. But I had a lot of encouragement from people. And I loved doing it. It really was the highlight of my life."
On those who say the 2006 version of GUNS N' ROSES isn't the real thing:
"You know, you've got Slash and Duff doing STONE TEMPLE PILOTS songs with Weiland (in VELVET REVOLVER). They can't do 'Welcome to the Jungle' because he can't sing it. Let's be honest. Then, you've got Axl doing 'Sweet Child o' Mine' and 'Rocket Queen' with some other dudes. I'd rather see Axl singing GUNS N' ROSES songs than Slash doing STONE TEMPLE PILOTS songs. Nobody can sing 'Paradise City' like Axl Rose."

SEBASTIAN BACH: What A Complete And Utter Joy It Is To Play In A Packed Arena[/b] [/color][/size] Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has issued the following update:"Played to almost 30,000 people in the last two nights. What a complete and utter joy it is, almost dreamlike, to play in a packed arena to 15,000 or so appreciative people. There is literally nothing else I would rather do, nowhere else I would rather be, than onstage in venues like we have been playing all this year. Toronto Air Canada Centre, Calgary Saddledome, Rexall Place in Edmonton, MTS Centre in Winnipeg, all of these shows have been some of the best of my career. "Canada has really come out in full force and just like the Eastern Canada shows, these Western Canada shows have been so important to me for one specific reason. The bond I have shared with rock fans the world over has increased over the years. San Francisco, Tampa, Huntington WV, Worcester, Baltimore, Ottawa, Quebec City, Chicago, Ames, Minneapolis.... All of these cities turned out in full force to support our band. It is hard to describe how appreciative I am to the rock fans of these cities. "How do you thank between 10-20 thousand rock fans in each city for making your dreams come true? Axl [Rose, GUNS N' ROSES frontman], of course, is the one who put us on the stage of every enormodome across the planet — but that does not guarantee the arena will be full for us, the opening band. But in all the aforementioned cities, each arena was packed to the gills and the people responded just as vociferously to the brand new material as they did for all our 'old' material. How truly gratifiing that is! We also have two more headline shows this year — [Saturday night, Dec. 9] at Big Easy Concert House in Spokane WA and Chico CA next week at the Senator Theatre — c'ya at the shows!!" Check out two new photos taken backstage at Air Canada Centre by Ron Boudreau at www.sebastianbach.com.

SEBASTIAN BACH Is '100% Honored' By CARRIE UNDERWOOD's Cover Of 'I Remember You' Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has issued the following update:"Wow! It will never cease to blow my mind when another successful artist covers one of my tunes. Here is the 'American Idol' herself, Carrie Underwood, doing [SKID ROW's] 'I Remember You'. View the performance here:www.youtube.com/watch?v=3di6vP2slHY"Never in my wildest dreams could I ever have imagined, coming up with this song in a New Jersey garage and recording it in the studio that 20 years later it would live on in an arena stage being sung by a country artist in the USA while I am still singing it myself on stages worldwide. "Carrie Underwood, if you ever read this, ROCK ON and congrats on all your well-deserved success! You are very talented and I am 100% honored that you are singing this song!! Sounds incredible and I wish you all the best!!"

SKID ROW Guitarist To SEBASTIAN BACH: 'Blow It Out Your Ass, Buddy!' About comments made to Live-Metal.netJames Allman of Baconmusic spoke to SKID ROW guitarist Scotti Hill last night (Saturday, November 24) backstage at the Rock City in Nottingham, England. Watch the 10-minute interview below. An excerpt from the chat follows: Baconmusic: What's the latest news on Dave "Snake" Sabo? Is he still a member of SKID ROW? Scotti: "Snake is a member of SKID ROW. He's also got some legal troubles this year and that's keeping him in America. He manages the band DOWN, so since he can't come over here right now — 'cause the judge won't let him; the judge said, 'You can't leave the country until this is all cleared up' — he's hanging with the boys from DOWN who are doing really good. They've got a kick-ass record out right now." Baconmusic: There's a lot of rumors that he's not too well health-wise. Scotti: "He's had some health issues, but no… He's good to go, he's good to go. As a matter of fact, he's gonna do some shows with us in January out West — in California, up through Vegas, Salt Lake City and all that stuff." Baconmusic: So tell us about who is filling in [on this tour]? Scotti: "We've got Ryan Cook from the band HAIR OF THE DOG — kick-ass band; we've been friends with Ryan for a long time. He was good enough to learn the songs in a week, sat down, one rehearsal, [and] it was like he was good to go. He's a good friend, we've known him for a long time. He's good for the band, he's good for the morale, man — he's a positive influence out here and… [turns to camera, joking] So fuck Snake. Snake, I love you, brother." Baconmusic: If Snake ever did have to quit the band, do you think it would be still OK for SKID ROW to continue with just two original members? Scotti: " couldn't tell you that. I don't know what we would do. Because he's an integral part of the writing process and the live show and all that — he basically started the band. I don't know if Rachel [Bolan, bass] and I would go on or do something else. Man, I take this shit day to day. I didn't expect to be here in 2007 sitting in Rock City [in Nottingham, England] down in the basement doing an interview, you know?! It's all gravy."
Baconmusic: Sebastian Bach said in a recent interview with www.live-metal.net, and I quote, "The SKID ROW of 2007 are wrecking the name worse than can ever be wrecked." What have you gotta say in response to that?
Scotti: "Blow it out your ass, buddy. Whatever, dude! Go do your fuckin' thing and just forget about it. We had a good run — we got a good run together. Leave it alone, man! He's got a new record coming out. Why don't he worry about his new record?"
Baconmusic: Or he can keep licking Axl Rose's ass.
Scotti: "If that's what makes you happy, that's what makes you happy. Sure."

SEBASTIAN BACH'S "ANGEL DOWN" - NUMBER ONE ON BILLBOARD'S HEATSEEKERS CHART
Sebastian Bach tops next week's Billboard Heatseekers Chart with "Angel Down," his first solo album in eight years. In addition to the Number One chart debut, "Angel Down" has also been winning over the critics:
"'Angel Down' will tear you up..an amped yet layered backdrop for this limitless voice, an uncharacteristically tortured Bach blazes a promising new path of modern badness and paranoia." -- Los Angeles Times
"The truth is, Sebastian Bach has a great f**king voice...it's gratifying to hear he hasn't lost a whit of his vocal power, range, or attitude on 'Angel Down.'" -- SF Weekly
"Bach's solo disc rocks harder - and more single-mindedly - than you'd expect." -- Entertainment Weekly
"Angel Down" - produced by Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Judas Priest) and featuring three tracks with Guns N Roses' Axl Rose on vocals - also lands at #27 on Billboard's Hard Rock chart, and enters the Top 200 Albums chart at #190. While it will be a week or so before all international sales figures are in, "Angel Down" debuted at #50 in Japan.

'Gone Country 2' Featuring SEBASTIAN BACH To Premiere Next Week Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach will vie for the top prize on CMT's "Gone Country 2", the follow-up to the network's highest rated series ever. John Rich returns as host and judge of the show, which will premiere Friday, August 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Other members of "Gone Country"'s second-season cast are Grammy- and Academy Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Irene Cara; former "American Idol" fourth-season finalist Mikalah Gordon; former THE JACKSON 5 lead singer and 2007 "Celebrity Big Brother" UK houseguest Jermaine Jackson; ex-N SYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick; actor and former "Are You Hot?" judge Lorenzo Lamas; and actress Sean Young. The show's second season will follow a similar format to its first season, as each episode will follow the cast as they compete against one another in challenges that test their ability to musically and physically adapt to the country-crooner lifestyle. In addition, each cast member will be paired with two Nashville songwriters, who will assist them in penning lyrics and music for a country single, which they'll then have the opportunity to perform. "Gone Country" will conclude with one of the seven contestants winning the two-week competition and recording and releasing a country song.
