SALES FOR IN FLAMES' SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR ESCAPE TOPS 100,000 COPIES
According to Nielsen SoundScan, sales figures for IN FLAMES' Soundtrack To Your Escape have surpassed 100,000 copies.
Released by Nuclear Blast Records in 2004, Soundtrack To Your Escape was the seventh studio album for Gothenberg, Sweden's best known band. Praised for "redefining the standard by which extreme music will be judged" by Guitar World magazine and ranked #4 in 2004's year-end list of "one of the 25 most important bands in metal" in Alternative Press, the band toured North America twice in support of the album: with Killswitch Engage in 2004 and opening Ozzfest's Main Stage in 2005.
The deluxe Ozzfest edition of Soundtrack To Your Escape included the following material on a bonus DVD:

IN FLAMES' 'Come Clarity' Album Sells 100,000 Copies In The U.S. - Oct. 6, 2006
According to Nielsen SoundScan, U.S. sales figures for IN FLAMES' "Come Clarity" album have surpassed 100,000 copies.
"Come Clarity", the highly influential band's debut for Ferret Music, took the hard rock community by storm upon its release, debuting at #58 on the Billboard Top 200 with first week sales of nearly 25,000 copies. The highest charting record in both the band and label's sales history, "Come Clarity" has met to widespread critical acclaim and solidified IN FLAMES' place as leaders of the modern day heavy music movement. IN FLAMES is also seeing success at radio with the launch of the first U.S. commercial campaign in the band's storied history. Active Rock stations across the country have been adding the new single "Come Clarity" to their playlists, with early adds from tastemaker stations WJJO (Madison, WI), KFRQ (McAllen, TX) and great support from KMYZ (Tulsa, OK) and XM Radio leading the charge. These are the first commercial radio adds ever for IN FLAMES, and also a first for Ferret Music. "Come Clarity" showcases the powerful songwriting that IN FLAMES is known for, as well as the band's crossover potential, incorporating acoustic guitars, impassioned vocals and a bombastic chorus.
On the heels of the new single's release, IN FLAMES has announced December 2006 North American headlining dates. The IN FLAMES tour will feature support from LACUNA COIL and more and is slated to kick off on December 5 in Norfolk, VA. The band will shortly hit the road alongside SLAYER and LAMB OF GOD as part of the 2006 "Unholy Alliance" Europe trek.

According to a posting on IN FLAMES' official web site, guitarist Jesper Strömblad has undisclosed "issues to deal with" and "will take a break" from the group's current touring activities. However, fans are being assured that Jesper "will be back." The rest of the band will complete the forthcoming tours and no dates will be cancelled.
As previously reported, IN FLAMES' latest album, "Come Clarity", has sold more than 100,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

IN FLAMES To Utilize Two Session Guitarists On North American Tour
Sweden's IN FLAMES is preparing to launch a North American headlining tour in support of its critically acclaimed album "Come Clarity". Support on the trek, which will launch on December 5, will come from LACUNA COIL, THE SWORD and SEEMLESS.
As the Swedish metal titans prepare to depart Europe for the tour, the band has collectively issued a statement as to the temporarily modified touring lineup that will be in place for the headlining jaunt:
"For the upcoming North American tour, Björn [Gelotte, guitar] will be sitting out as his wife is due to give birth to their second child. Substituting on guitar will be our good friend Henrik Danhage from EVERGREY. We initially planned to have Jesper [Strömblad, guitar] with us as always on tour, but as previously reported, he is taking the rest of the year off due to personal reasons. As a result, Niklas Engelin (PASSENGER, ENGEL) is filling in for him all the dates through December 20. So to clarify for those who might be wondering, IN FLAMES is in no way breaking up, nor are these changes anything but temporary. We simply didn't want to disappoint anyone, including our loyal fans, so all shows that were booked prior to these circumstances will be done with the above-named session guitarists. New shows/tours are being booked for next year as we speak, featuring the five of us, so stop worrying (speculating, gossiping) and we'll see you all very soon."

On account of the great In Flames
Anybody going to see them with Lacuna coil Seemless and the sword?
I saw them last night at the electric factory in Philadelphia, and it was a good show.
Not as good as the TLA earlier this year with bands DevilDriver and Trivium.
I was wondering if anyone goes to the shows on their North American Tour 2006, if they could gather a setlist and post it on here because no one posted last nights, and I didn't write it down.

IN FLAMES Honored With Swedish 'GRAMMIS' Award In 'Best Hard Rock' Category
IN FLAMES was honored with the Swedish "Grammis" award in the "Best Hard Rock" category during a ceremony that was held Tuesday night (January 30) at Hovet in Stockholm. A total of five bands were nominated for their most recent releases, all of which came out during 2006. The nominees were as follows:
BACKYARD BABIES – "People Like People Like People Like Us" (RCA)
EUROPE – "Secret Society" (T&T/Sanctuary)
HAMMERFALL – "Threshold" (Nuclear Blast)
IN FLAMES – "Come Clarity" (Nuclear Blast)
THE HAUNTED – "The Dead Eye" (Century Media)
In accepting the award, IN FLAMES frontman Anders Fridén asked the audience to get up on their feet.
"This is the third time IN FLAMES have won a [Swedish] Grammy and it feels extremely good," he said and joked: "Thanks a lot to the Swedish people, [distributor] Sound Pollution and all you people sitting down!"
IN FLAMES was nominated in three categories at the "Rockbjörnen" awards: "Best Swedish Band", "Best Song" and "Best Album".

IN FLAMES: 'A Sense Of Purpose' Artwork, Track Listing Revealed Swedish metallers IN FLAMES will release their new full-length CD, "A Sense of Purpose", in Europe on April 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Come Clarity" was recorded at the band's own IF Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The group received assistance during the vocal-recording sessions from producer Daniel Bergstrand, who previously produced the vocals on "Reroute To Remain", "Soundtrack To Your Escape" and "Come Clarity". All artwork for the album was created by Alex Pardee for ZeroFriends. Alex also created the artwork for the first single, "The Mirror's Truth".  "A Sense of Purpose" track listing: 01.
