Head's "new beginning" is one of the more bizarre things I have seen in the music industry over the years. I would be surprised if 50 Cent responds... but we will see.
My favorite part was: This white boy from Bako is gonna take down gangsta rap because of one reason. You're hurting people.
If Head "takes down" gangsta rap... I am moving to Antartica. I promise.

According to a post on the KORN fan site KornWeb.cjb.net, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis revealed during an online chat Tuesday night (March 29) several songtitles that are set to appear on the group's new CD, tentatively due in September. Among the cuts that are slated for inclusion on the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror" are "Liar", "Revolution" (described by Davis as "an old-school PARLIAMENT tune"), "Polotix", "Last Legal Drug" and "Souvenir of Sadness".
As previously reported, the recording sessions for KORN's as-yet-untitled new CD are scheduled to begin on April 11. Davis has hinted that the forthcoming effort may be a double-disc affair, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has uploaded more photos from the studio where the group are recording their new album. Check them out at ButtSexCrips.com. According Davis, KORN are utilizing "four different drum sets" during the recording sessions for the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror", "so [getting drum sounds] takes time." Among the cuts that are slated for inclusion on the upcoming CD are "Liar", "Revolution" (described by Davis as "an old-school PARLIAMENT tune"), "Polotix", "Last Legal Drug" and "Souvenir of Sadness". Davis has hinted that the forthcoming effort may be a double-disc affair, although this has yet to be officially confirmed. A tentative September release is expected. KORN and rapper XZIBIT's newly recorded cover of PUBLIC ENEMY's "Fight the Power" is among the exclusive tracks that will be found on the soundtrack for "XXX: State of the Union", due April 19 via Jive.

Producer Dallas Austin (MADONNA, TLC, GWEN STEFANI, PINK, JANET JACKSON, BOYZ II MEN) has told MTV.com that his collaboration with KORN, which should see release either later this year or early next, will hold at least a few surprises for the band's trusty fans — including one of hip-hop's hardest on guest vocals.
"We've actually done a song that THE GAME will be rapping on," Austin revealed. THE GAME will join KORN in the studio next month to lay down his rhymes. Five tracks have been recorded so far, Austin said, and the remainder of the album's material has been written, just not recorded.
"They looked at everything they have done and said, 'What else can we do now?' " said Austin, who got a personal call from frontman Jonathan Davis to pitch him the production gig. The band wanted to try something different with this record and felt Dallas was the perfect person to help them realize that goal.
"In an era where it's really hard to play rock and roll — especially hip-hop rock, which they kind of pioneered, but then everything got oversaturated — Jonathan thought, 'How can we rekindle it?' " Austin said.
"The stuff you're going to hear from us, it's just great rock stuff — really heavy," Austin explained. "As a producer, I don't come in and bring my thing. I come and work with what's there. I just try making whatever I work with as vivid as possible for what we're doing. Some of the stuff, it's really dark. You'll hear beats underneath it, but it's still really guitar-heavy. I didn't bring them into my world — I just produced KORN. I think [people will] be surprised to hear what we did."

According to a post by Jonathan Davis at www.ButtSexCrips.com, the KORN frontman has finished laying down vocals for all 20 songs for the group's upcoming album, tentatively due in September/October. The band expect to begin mixing the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror" in early July. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Liar", "Politix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort", "It's Me Again", "Coming Undone", "I've Seen It All" and "Souvenir of Sadness". The album's first single should surface in August. With regards to the new album's musical direction, Davis previously told MTV.com, "It's funky, it's heavy, it's dark and sometimes, industrial-tinged. Working with so many different people and everything, it's made it out to be a really well-rounded album of a lot of different things. It's definitely KORN, it's definitely groove-oriented. But it's our most experimental album to date. We're very excited. We're all sitting around, when we listen to it, looking at each other going, 'I can't believe that's us.' I think people are really going to dig it. It's not like the first KORN album, where it's very aggressive and screaming all over the place. There's that in this album, yes, but I've taken all of the years of six albums, and taken what I've learned from that and molded it into one, and thrown a big twist on it. It's really hard to explain without hearing it. But it's very large and in charge and massively heavy. There's a lot of melody in it, a lot of screaming — just a lot of amazing things in it."

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has posted the following message on his Butt Sex Crips web site:
"What up, kids? Well, I've been bustin' my ass working on mixing these songs. We have 7 done and we keep crankin' them out. We have to have all of them done by August 5th 'cause we have to leave for Europe. Terry Date [PANTERA, DEFTONES, SOULFLY] is mixing the album and it sounds better than any album we have done.
"We also have been rehearsing for tour. We sound great! The new songs rule and everyone in the band is very happy with everything.
"Well goodnight, I'm fuckin' tired."
KORN have been working primarily with Matrix and Ross (BAD RELIGION, PINK) on the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror". Only one track from the band's sessions with Dallas Austin is slated to appear on the effort, with the album's previously announced collaboration with rapper THE GAME, "Revolution", having already been scratched from the album's track list. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Liar", "Politix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort", "It's Me Again", "Coming Undone", "I've Seen It All" and "Souvenir of Sadness". An October release is expected.

KORN's recently inked deal with Virgin is believed to be for two albums and a one-third interest in the band's publishing, merchandising and ticket sales as part of a new contractual model, a la Robbie Williams. The band's as-yet-untitled new effort was mixed by Terry Date, who has previously worked with such artists as DEFTONES, PANTERA and SOULFLY, among others. MTV.com is reporting that KORN's one-off gig at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on November 29 will be taped for a half-hour special on MTV2 airing December 3 at 9:30 p.m. and December 6 at 10:30 a.m. KORN will also be hosting MTV2's "T-Minus Rock Countdown" December 6 at 11 a.m., and the Hammerstein show will be available online via MTV Overdrive in early December.
KORN frontman Jonathan Davis told MTV.com that the band will embark on a full-scale, two-month U.S. headlining run toward the end of February; an itinerary is still being confirmed, he said. "The cities we don't hit, we'll hit when we come back this summer" as part of a second U.S. trek, the frontman promised. "It'll be a world tour — we'll start in the States, go overseas to Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia. We're hitting the whole world."
Virgin will release two versions of the group's new album, "See You on the Other Side", including a deluxe edition featuring a bonus disc of five tracks: "It's Me Again", "Eaten Up Inside", "Last Legal Drug (Le Petit Mort)" and two "Twisted Transistor" remixes. The disc will also include live footage shot during a KORN show in Russia.
Davis said he and the rest of KORN are especially proud of "See You"'s art, which features a weeping child clutching a headless teddy bear.
"It was done by a friend of mine named David Stoupakis. He's a local artist here in New York and I first saw his artwork at the CBGB gallery, when we did that free show there," Davis said. "I gave him this lyric from one of the songs ['Seen It All'] ... 'I'm just a child with a tear in his eyes/ And I'm holding this gift that is broken.' And I go, 'Paint that.' And he came up with [the cover], and it really blew everybody away."
"See you on the Other Side" is due out on December 6. Prior to the album's release, KORN will perform "Freak" and their new single, "Twisted Transistor", on "Saturday Night Live" on November 19.

World Entertainment News Network is reporting that KORN frontman Jonathan Davis is selling off his of serial killer memorabilia because he fears the odd collection has brought nothing but negativity into his home. Davis built up a massive collection of eerie knick-knacks, including many items once owned by sick U.S. murderer Ted Bundy, and even planned to open a museum to display his memorabilia — but now he can't bear to be around the items. He says, "I'm done with that. I got all that stuff out. I just got over it. I was really into it for a while. "I still have the car (Bundy's vehicle), but I'm just bringing negativity and negative s**t in my house with it, and I don't want that around my kids. "There is definitely a vibe and weird sh*t attached to those things. I really don't want to glorify these people and what they did and display the sh*t. "I wasn't thinking straight when I bought that stuff. I was sucked into it because it was so dark, and I'm like, 'This is cool.' "When I started to think about it, I was like, 'What about those 70 girls' parents — their babies got killed in that car, and I wanna display it! That is f**ked up.'" mmmmmm.... www.headtochrist.com/

KORN Frontman Says He's Recovering In 'Record Time' Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN frontman Jonathan Davis posted a message in the "Journal" section of the band's official website on Tuesday (June 27). Davis, who is recovering from a blood infection that could have been fatal, wrote, "What's up everybody? I'm feeling great, all the emails, blogs and letters really mean a lot and have helped me recover in record time. By the way, thanks to all of you who sent in your suggestions for the Family Values festival area, there are some cool ideas in there." Davis recently solicited suggestions for the band's upcoming Family Values tour via the trek's official website. Ideas can still be submitted at jd@familyvalueslive.com. Davis was hospitalized earlier this month in London when a blood disorder sent his platelet count plummeting to dangerously low levels. KORN was forced to scrap its European tour while Davis underwent treatment for the rare disease, called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). In other news, KORN's "Live On The Other Side" DVD sold just over 9,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at No. 3 on Billboard's Music DVD chart. The first 70,000 copies of the disc include a voucher for two free lawn tickets to the Family Values tour, good with the purchase of two lawn tickets. An official online store for the movie "Sin-Jin Smyth", a supernatural thriller in which Jonathan Davis plays the title character, has opened. The film, which does not yet have a release date, also features former wrestler Roddy Piper and porn star Jenna Jameson.KORN will be joined by DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and other acts on the Family Values tour, which begins on July 27 in Virginia Beach.

KORN To Perform On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Tomorrow - July 18, 2006
KORN will be the musical guests on the late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Tuesday, July 18.
The band will be playing a special live set at the show's intimate outdoor stage at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California.
KORN is planning to shoot a video for its next single, called "Politics", but singer Jonathan Davis told MTV.com that fans shouldn't actually expect to see the group get political in the clip. Davis explained, "(The song is) just about how I don't like to talk about politics. I mean there's politics in everything, and it's not necessarily governmental politics. There's who's going to sleep with whom to get ahead, who's going to do this to get that...That's what I'm talking about, not about the stupid crap that's going on with guys in suits and their views and their lobbies."
Davis said that while KORN has never been a "political band," he does have his views on certain issues. "I'm political to a point where it affects human life, from global warming to abortion issues to my gun rights, stuff like that," he explained. "Those are the kind of politics that I care about."
However, KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer told Launch that he and Davis are writing the score for an animated short film that does tackle national politics. "It's very political, probably the most politically involved plot that Jonathan and I will ever be involved in to this point," he said. "It's about oil and the president and aliens and futuristic, really cool...like, a chick superhero that's gonna save the world type of thing."
Davis has been home in Los Angeles recovering from a rare and potentially fatal blood disorder that forced KORN to cancel most of a European tour last month.
KORN will begin its headlining stint on the Family Values tour on July 27 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with DEFTONES, 10 YEARS, FLYLEAF and others.

KORN Begins FAMILY VALUES Campaign Tomorrow
Launch Radio Networks reports: It's still over three months until Election Day, but the Family Values crowd is on the move. KORN resurrects the tour of that name tomorrow (Saturday, July 29) in Antioch, Tennessee, with a line-up featuring DEFTONES, 10 YEARS, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and others. This will be KORN singer Jonathan Davis' first live excursion since a blood infection felled him in Europe last month, and he told launch he's chomping at the bit. "We're just gonna go out there and rock the house," he said. "I think I'm gonna be extra hungry 'cause it was taken away from me from Europe, so it's gonna be good. Production-wise, I mean, it's gonna be different, it'll be cool. I mean, we've got stripper poles, wading pools, paintball gun fields, all kinds of crazy, weird s*** that we're gonna be doing in each town, so it should be good."
Davis spent much of the last month recovering from the rare, potentially fatal disorder that forced KORN to cancel most of its European tour in June.
The first Family Values package debuted in 1998 and featured RAMMSTEIN, LIMP BIZKIT, ICE CUBE and ORGY in addition to KORN. Two later editions, in 1999 and 2001, included acts like STAIND, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, LINKIN PARK, FILTER and METHOD MAN.
This summer's tour is offering lawn tickets for a mere $9.99 at each stop. Davis said that the group's recent partnership with the Live Nation concert organization is allowing them to keep prices down.

KORN: Animated 'Liar' Video AvailableKORN's animated video for "Liar", taken from the band's latest CD, "See You on the Other Side", has been posted online at YouTube.com. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR7OjYvICl4The clip was produced by the San Fransico-based company Big Bear Entertainment, which also has great animated videos from the likes of DISTURBED, BILLY IDOL and TOMMY LEE in its video catalog. "It's basically a riff on the cover art of 'See You on the Other Side' — just wanted to keep it in the same spirit," creator Tony Shiff said. "It doesn't take long if you have the right tools to do this style of video. I started doing them on a series for MTV2 called 'Video Mods'. "We started making the video as part of a series on Yahoo! Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN will re-release its seventh studio album, "See You on the Other Side", on September 26 in an expanded edition. The new version will include a "Chopped and Screwed" remix EP, live tracks, bonus DVD footage and more. "See You on the Other Side" was originally issued last December and has sold over one million copies since its release. Lead singer Jonathan Davis told Launch he's even more enthusiastic about the album now after playing the songs live for the past eight months: "I love that record. I think it's one of the best records we've ever done. I love it for the fact that it was experimental. It reminds me of 'Untouchables', which I think is another one of our best records. And adding the background band has just opened up so many new doors for us. You know, there's just so many different possibilities, and going out on the road and being able to play it live is just gonna inspire us to do bigger and better things."
KORN currently tours with four additional musicians onstage, including an extra guitarist, a keyboard player, and a background singer.
Davis recently told us that the band has already begun writing the follow-up to "See You on the Other Side", and will probably work with "See You on the Other Side" producers The Matrix and Atticus Ross again.
KORN is headlining this year's Family Values Tour, which stops tonight (Monday, August 28) in Toronto, Canada.
