Marilyn Manson to be served with Divorce Papers?
SHOCK-rocker Marilyn Manson is about to get one of the biggest shocks of his bizarre life - his stunning stripper-wife, Dita Von Teese, is dumping him after only a year of marriage.
Page Six has learned that the pasty-faced Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will be served with divorce papers today at a Los Angeles recording studio where he's working on his next album, with Von Teese citing "irreconcilable differences" in giving him the boot.
Sources say the raven-haired bombshell filed for the split right before Christmas, but Manson has been unaware of it because she couldn't get in touch with him.
"He's not been responsive," a friend said. "She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can't even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn't even noticed."
Friends say Manson had been boozing heavily last year, much to Von Teese's dismay, but she'd desperately tried to hold on. "She really tried to make this work," the friend said.
A rep for the Michigan-born beauty, who is the spokesmodel for MAC makeup's Viva Glam lipstick and lip gloss line, declined to comment. But John Demsey, group president of Estée Lauder, told us: "We're really sad to hear this. Dita has been the most extraordinary MAC spokeswoman. She's the ultimate professional - a glamour girl like there used to be in the '30s and '40s."
Von Teese's pals say they are squarely on her side. "Well, at least now she won't have to share her makeup," one quipped.
It's not known yet whether Von Teese plans to ask for custody of the couple's two cats, Lily and Aleister, and dachshunds, Greta and Eva.
Manson and Von Teese, an accomplished burlesque performer and Playboy model, tied the knot in December 2005 after a seven-year courtship. The goth-style ceremony was held in an ancient castle in Tipperary, Ireland, with cult film director Alejandro Jodorowsky officiating.

MARILYN MANSON And DITA VON TEESE Set For Pet Custody Battle
With burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese ending her marriage to Marilyn Manson, the New York Post hears the couple are set to battle over their pets. They do have several cats, two of which are named Lily and Aleister, and two dachshunds, Greta and Eva. A source friendly with the two says, "They are fighting over custody of the cats — not so much the dogs." When Dita moved out of their home, she took the animals with her, and the shock rocker is reportedly missing the felines.
Von Teese, whose real name is Heather Sweet, has cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce papers, which were reportedly served to Manson at a Los Angeles recording studio on Friday (January 5). Sources told the Post that Von Teese had actually filed before Christmas, but was unable to get in touch with Manson to inform him.
A friend of Von Teese said, "He's not been responsive. She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can't even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn't even noticed."
The friend added that Manson had been drinking heavily in the past year, but that Von Teese "really tried to make this work."
Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, is in the studio working on a new album. He married Von Teese in December of 2005 after seven years together. Manson was previously engaged to actress Rose McGowan.

MARILYN MANSON: New Album Title Revealed
MARILYN MANSON has set "Eat Me, Drink Me" as the title of his new solo album, according to a posting on his official web site. The shock-rocker is currently putting the finishing touches on the CD, which is tentatively due this spring. A world tour will follow.
In an October 2005 interview with MTV.com, Manson described the music that he was working on for the follow-up to 2003's "The Golden Age of Grotesque" as the "most guitar-driven" and "most original that I've heard created. This record has a very unpleasant attitude toward itself, and I expect it to be — without sounding like someone who says this every time they make a record — something above and beyond and different — sonically, emotionally — than anything I've done."
As previously reported, Manson and his wife of a year, model and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, are calling it quits. Von Teese (born Heather Sweet) cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed December 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court. The couple married November 28, 2005, and separated on Christmas Eve, according to court documents.

MARILYN MANSON On New CD: 'It's Not A Record About Me Crying, Or Songs About My Woes'
MARILYN MANSON spoke to Revolver magazine (web site) about his forthcoming album "Eat Me, Drink Me".
"This is the record I've worked all my life to get to," Manson said. "You always have to transform, or you can't continue as an artist, and this record has been the biggest transformation for me."
"Eat Me, Drink Me" — his first disc since 2003's "The Golden Age Of Grotesque" — was co produced by Manson and bassist/aide de camp Tim Skold, and is being mixed by Sean Beavan, who has worked on several other Manson projects, including 1996's "Antichrist Superstar", and 1998's "Mechanical Animals". According to the frontman, "Eat Me, Drink Me" "takes a totally different approach musically." While some sources have likened his new sound to QUEEN, Manson will only say "It's better heard than described." Still, he reveals, "On this record I really wanted to sing, and that has to come from a naked, emotional place.
"It's not a record about me crying, or songs about my woes, but I think this record will probably speak to more people in different ways, because of its total human element."
"Eat Me, Drink Me" is tentatively scheduled for a May release, after which Manson and his band (Skold, drummer Ginger Fish, keyboardist M.W. Gacy, and a guitarist to be named later) will hit the road for the first time since his "Against All Gods" tour in late 2004. "I've been laying dormant, but it's not going to be just a gradual sneaking back into society," Manson promised. "It's going to be a very large swarm of pestilence."

Marilyn Manson speaks about life and his upcoming projects...Article from Rolling Stone Marilyn Manson sits in the front room of his home in San Fernando Valley, drinking from a bottle of rose-tinted absinthe. The house feels dark and unwelcoming - his estranged wife, model Dita Von Teese, has recently moved out - and Manson apologizes for the disarray. Without the makeup that he usually wears in public, and dressed casually in black, Manson pours himself into a couch and explains the turmoil that's plagued him for much of the past year - and ultimately led him to restart his musical career with a new album, EAT ME, DRINK ME, due in June. The songs, he says, "are clearly written to seduce somebody," though he is hesitant to divulge whom. "I don't want people to think the record is some kind of exploitation of my personal life," says Manson. "At the same time, it also represents exactly who I am and what I feel." For the next few hours, Manson plays unmastered cuts from EAT ME, DRINK ME and describes his year in hell. "Halfway through last year I was in such a black hole of depression," he says. "I couldn't make anything, I couldn't do anything. I lost hope." At the time, Manson's mother was diagnosed with a mental illness and, he says, "I got trapped in one of the classic rock & roll cliches of having people that work for me rob me behind my back." He had no interest in making music, and the film project he was focused on - Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll based on the twisted life of Lewis Carroll - became a psychological burden. Manson says he was finally uplifted by a close friend's morbid gesture of devotion. "She picked up a butcher's knife and said, 'Here, you can stab me,'" he says. "When someone was willing to drown with me, I really didn't want to drown anymore." This theme is depicted in the six-minute epic "If I Was Your Vampire," which Manson wrote on Christmas. "That song is the new 'Bela Lugosi's Dead,'" says Manson. "It's the all-time gothic anthem." The album's lyrics were written after last Halloween. That night, Manson presided over the opening of his Los Angeles art gallery. The next morning he left his home in the Valley and set up temporary digs at a studio-equipped house in the Hollywood Hills. "Suddenly," he says, "I felt liberated. I'd write a song, walk two doors down the hall and record it right then." Manson's lyrics, which were recorded over tracks by Tim Skold (who joined Manson's band in 2002 as bassist), came quickly. "I was writing out of desperation and hope," he says. "The record came out in a rush - like an open wound - and I went with it." "Just A Car Crash Away" is a Bic-waving ballad, a death march punctuated by Skold's searing guitar solo. "The Red Carpet Grave" is classic Manson, echoing with buzz saws and primitive percussion. (In fact, on "You, Me and the Devil Makes 3" they beat on a metal skunk trap they found outside the house.) Manson wrote the album's first single, "Putting Holes in Happiness," on his birthday, and describes it as "a romantic-misogynistic-cannibal-gothic-vampire ballad." Manson hopes to release a film in conjunction with the disc that he claims "is nothing short of the most horrifying horror that you could ever experience." He will also tour this summer, debuting live versions of the new songs at European festivals. "I really wanted to be a singer on this album," he says. "This is very earnest and uncalculated and raw, in the sense that I know I'm fucked up, and I'm really not ashamed of it."

MARILYN MANSON: MY TEENAGE GIRLFRIEND GETS ME
It takes a certain kind of woman to crack the mystery wrapped in a riddle inside the deathly pale, makeup-slathered enigma of Marilyn Manson, but Evan Rachel Wood has apparently done it.
"I've found my double, my twin, with my new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood," the wonky-eyed rocker, 38, affirms to France's Le Parisien newspaper (via People). "She's 19 and certainly that's very young, but that's not a problem for me. She likes the same things as me. She understands I like to get up when night falls and go to sleep at dawn."
Word is Manson's squicky relationship with his teenage soul mate, whom he reportedly met when he cast her in his horror film, "Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll," contributed to the demise of his year-old marriage to Dita Von Teese, 34.
"Our relationship ended at Halloween," he tells the paper of his burlesque beauty ex, who filed for divorce in December. "I was completely destroyed psychologically. I'd rented a house and begun working on this [CD], which sort of tells everything that happened to me during the past year."
Of particular interest will be the ditty "Heart-Shaped Glasses," which Manson told reporters at a recent press conference he wrote after he just happened to pick up a copy of the older man-meets-nubile-nymphet novel "Lolita."
Further getting his creative juices flowing: Wood paid him a visit wearing the titular eyewear, made famous in Stanley Kubrick's 1962 adaptation of Nabokov's English 101 staple.
Recalls Manson, "And when I saw her wearing those glasses I had to write a song about it, and that's the way I wrote most of the record."
Von Teese, he kvetches to the paper, "wanted me to change. ... Become more adult, more responsible. I began not to like myself, not like what I do. I lost my identity. Everything began collapsing around me. The record allowed me to put an end to that."
It's a good bet Manson won't have to worry about being forced to join the land of grown-ups with Wood, who sorta seems less like his "double" and more like Dita's: In recent months, she's co-opted the bombshell's trademark vintage-style duds and dramatic makeup.
So what else does Manson admire about his dewy squeeze, besides her evidently deep-seated daddy issues, similarly topsy-turvy sleep patterns and acceptance of his immaturity.
"I respect her as an actress," he told reporters, before ookily adding, "And someone who I'd want to fornicate with."
Klassy.
Dita, for her part, tells People of her former flame, "We aren't friends -- but don't hate each other."

SLAYER And MARILYN MANSON Co-Headline Summer Tour Dates Announced
Tour dates for this summer's match made in Heaven...or Hell...are announced today. MARILYN MANSON and SLAYER's 25-city co-headline North American tour will kick off on July 25 in West Palm Beach, FL, pillaging its way cross-country to wrap up in San Antonio, TX on September 1. Confirmed dates are below.
For this two-pronged-threat double bill, SLAYER and MANSON will each play full sets with BLEEDING THROUGH and one other support band, yet to be determined, opening all shows.
MARILYN MANSON just wrapped up work on his upcoming June release to be titled "Eat Me, Drink Me", which Rolling Stone magazine anticipates as "epic." Voted "Best Band in the World" by Kerrang! magazine, the army of noise behind MANSON's bitterness is at once raw and massive when witnessing him live — "rousing the crowd with focused ardor," states the New York Times.
Celebrating its 26th year together, the always-uncompromising SLAYER was recently named "Best Live Band" in SPIN's 2006 Readers' Poll, and picked up their first Grammy Award in February for "Best Metal Performance." Their latest album, "Christ Illusion" — which debuted at #5 on Billboard's albums chart — takes on the U.S. Government about the War in Iraq, prompting one newspaper to speculate, "If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, he undoubtedly would be listening to SLAYER."
Confirmed tour dates for the SLAYER/MARILYN MANSON co-headline summer tour are as follows:
Jul. 25 - Sound Advice Amphitheatre, West Palm Beach, FL Jul. 27 - Ford Amphitheatre, Tampa, FL Jul. 28 - Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre, Atlanta, GA Jul. 30 - Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, MD Jul. 31 - Tower City Amphitheatre, Cleveland, OH Aug. 02 - Tweeter Center, Philadelphia, PA Aug. 04 - DCU Center, Worcester, MA Aug. 05 - PNC, Holmdel, NJ Aug. 07 - Centre de Foire, Quebec, QC CANADA Aug. 08 - Bell Centre, Montreal, QC CANADA Aug. 10 - Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto, ON CANADA Aug. 11 - DTE Music Theatre, Detroit, MI Aug. 13 - Allstate, Chicago, IL Aug. 14 - Xcel, Minneapolis, MN Aug. 16 - TBA Aug. 18 - Coors Amphitheatre, Denver, CO Aug. 21 - Sleep Train Amphitheatre, Sacramento, CA Aug. 23 - Sleep Train Pavilion, Concord, CA Aug. 24 - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre @ Irvine, Los Angeles, CA Aug. 25 - San Diego Sports Arena, San Diego, CA Aug. 27 - Cricket Pavilion, Phoenix, AZ Aug. 28 - Journal Pavilion, Albuquerque, NM Aug. 30 - Nokia Theatre, Dallas, TX Aug. 31 - Reliant Arena Sep. 01 - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, San Antonio, TX

MANSON's Estranged Wife: 'I Tried To Get Him Help And He Chose Not To Change His Lifestyle'
Marilyn Manson's estranged wife Dita von Teese recently gave an interview to the Toronto Star in which she discussed her split with the shock rocker and Manson's new video for "Heart-Shaped Glasses", featuring Marilyn in a love scene with his new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood. An excerpt from the chat follows:
Toronto Star: What is the most insulting thing you've ever read about yourself?
Dita: (Laughs) I guess the most insulting thing I've read is that I married for money because I didn't. Didn't make a dime. Didn't plan to. Didn't want to.
Toronto Star: Are you officially divorced?
Dita: Not at all. (Laughs) We're officially still married.
Toronto Star: Any reaction to your ex's new music video "Heart-Shaped Glasses", featuring Marilyn in a raunchy love scene with his new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood?
Dita: I have not seen it. I know a lot of people are shocked by it and think I should be shocked but he has put every one of his girlfriends in his videos so it doesn't come as any surprise to me. I was in three videos. Rose McGowan was in two videos.
Toronto Star: Did you two grow apart?
Dita: I wouldn't say growing apart. He's been very vocal about his depression and drug use ... I tried to get him help and he chose not to change his lifestyle and not to get better. And found someone ... (pauses) I think he decided to surround himself with people who want to live that lifestyle as well.
Toronto Star: Are you dating now?
Dita: No, I'm not. I went on a few dates and had a little fun. My first priority is work and having a good time and spending time with my friends and family. I want to be a single girl for a while.

MARILYN MANSON Says Sex Scenes In New Video Are 'Simulated'
According to 24dash.com, Marilyn Manson's representative has denied the sex scenes in the singer's new video, "Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)", were real, saying: "It was simulated sex."
A source close to the production crew told Radar magazine about the video shoot: "They [Marilyn Manson and real-life lover Evan Rachel Wood] elected not to fake their intercourse. Though their genitals are concealed on-screen by bedclothes and each other's bodies, the video was originally intended to be shot in 3D, meaning their sex had to be shot from several different angles simultaneously. That meant the crew saw everything. And just to be sure they got it right, they got it on three times for the cameras. The Christian parents will be sharpening their steak knives for him."
In another scene, Wood, dresses as fictional teenage seductress Lolita, rubs her crotch while watching Manson perform on stage.
The video also features a shot of Wood lying drenched in blood.
Manson's record label, Interscope, is said to be releasing a toned down version of the video.

MARILYN MANSON Slams MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE For Ripping Off His Act
Launch Radio Networks reports: MARILYN MANSON has lashed out at MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, saying that a song called "Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form of Flattery", from his new "Eat Me, Drink Me" album, is directed at the band, whom he accused of ripping off his act. Manson told the London Paper, "I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done. If they want to identify with me then here's a razor blade. Call me when you're done and we'll talk." Here are some sample lyrics from "Mutilation...": "Hey, there's no rules today / You steal instead of borrow / You take all the shapes that I make / And you think that you thought / All the thoughts that I thought you / Don't you?" MANSON and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE will both perform this weekend at England's Download Festival, although they'll appear on separate days. MANSON's new record arrived in stores on Tuesday (June 5). MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE has been touring behind its latest effort, "The Black Parade", with a stage show involving costumes, make-up, macabre imagery and songs about death.

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE Frontman Says MARILYN MANSON's 'Rip-Off' Accusations Ring Hollow
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE frontman Gerard Way has spoken to U.K.'s Rock Sound magazine in response to Marilyn Manson's barbs at the band earlier in the week.
In an interview with The London Paper, Manson lashed out at MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, saying that a song called "Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form of Flattery", from his new "Eat Me, Drink Me" album, is directed at the band, whom he accused of ripping off his act. Manson said, "I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done. If they want to identify with me then here's a razor blade. Call me when you're done and we'll talk."
Here are some sample lyrics from "Mutilation...": "Hey, there's no rules today / You steal instead of borrow / You take all the shapes that I make / And you think that you thought / All the thoughts that I thought you / Don't you?"
Speaking to Rock Sound, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE frontman Gerard Way responded to Manson's comments by saying, "We still haven't found someone that has knocked us down that we need to take seriously. If Elvis Costello said we sucked we would think about it a bit but usually it is comments from someone with a new record to promote so the remarks ring hollow."
MANSON and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE are both scheduled to perform this weekend at England's Download Festival, although they'll appear on separate days.
MANSON's new record arrived in stores on Tuesday (June 5).
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE has been touring behind its latest effort, "The Black Parade", with a stage show involving costumes, make-up, macabre imagery and songs about death.

Ex-Bandmate Sues Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson's former keyboardist has sued the shock rocker, claiming he kept millions of dollars meant to be shared and bought items including a handbag owned by Hitler's girlfriend and a skeleton in a wheelchair.
Stephen Bier — whose stage name was Madonna Wayne Gacy — says he, Manson and other band members signed a partnership agreement in 1993 to share profits.
The suit, filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims Manson and others deceived Bier into thinking the band wasn't making much money.
Bier says he began to think differently several years ago when Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, went on a spending binge. He claims Manson owes him at least $20 million in shared profits.
From 2004 to 2006, the suit claims, Manson used band money to buy a $2 million home, collect Nazi paraphernalia and to give his fiancee at the time a handbag once owned by Eva Braun.
Manson also bought "African masks made of human skin, the full skeleton of a 4-year-old Chinese girl, and the full skeleton of a 17th-century male in a wheelchair," the suit claims.
In addition, the suit claims Manson spent band money on personal drug treatment, a low-budget movie production, a Los Angeles gallery to display his artwork and about $450,000 for an engagement ring and his wedding to burlesque performer Dita Von Teese. She has since filed for divorce.
Bier contends that Manson and the band's lawyer and business managers cut off his salary payments and band credit card access and refused to pay his medical bills for work-related problems.
Manson's agent did not immediately return a call Saturday.
But in an interview Thursday with MTV News, Manson denied the allegations and said he would fight them.
"The fact that he's claiming that I've treated him unfairly, financially, is really ridiculous," the singer said. "And I would never spend my money on a Chinese girl skeleton. That would be crossing the line. It's a Chinese boy, for the record."

MARILYN MANSON Produces His Own Brand Of Absinthe
According to The Washington Times, the French family-run distillery Matter-Luginbuehl is collaborating with Marilyn Manson to produce thousands of bottles of his own brand of absinthe — "Mansinthe" — and is finding a worldwide audience.
"Production started in the beginning of August and we have made 6,000 bottles in one month," distillery head Oliver Matter said yesterday.
Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, created the artwork for the label, adorned with Gothic script and featuring a green-hued cadaverous-looking man poised to sip from his goblet.
Matter said the result is a "classic absinthe with a fresh taste," made with various herbs and the all-important wormwood, but without any sugar or colorings.
The 38-year-old star has not yet visited the distillery in person, but was sent samples of different absinthes by export partner Markus Lion, who has been Mr. Manson's supplier for many years, before deciding to which brand he will lend his name.

More 'Sick And Disturbing Purchases' Revealed By Former Bandmate
The New York Post's Page Six reports that Marilyn Manson is in more legal trouble. The shock rocker was accused in August by his band's former keyboardist, Stephen "Pogo" Bier (who performed with the band under the name Madonna Wayne Gacy), of squandering the group's earnings on "sick and disturbing purchases." A new complaint filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Bier's lawyer, Keith Fink, added more items to the list, including African masks made of human skin, a full skeleton of a 4-year-old Chinese girl that Manson is said to have turned into a chandelier, and another skeleton of a man in a wheelchair — all illegal items in the U.S. He allegedly continued his spree with swastika wall tiles and matching custom rugs, a mounted grizzly bear and two mounted baboons. Bier's filing also says Manson arranged for his girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood, to star in his "Heart Shaped Glasses" video for the "highest salary ever paid to any actress in any music video in history." He also allegedly used funds to pay roadies to move suitcases filled with "Alice in Wonderland" books because he was obsessed with author Lewis Carroll.
In an e-mail sent to the Post in early August 2007 with the approval of his attorney, Bier stated that he was promised "partnership proceeds" from the band in 1993, only to see Manson spend large amounts of money on a "multi-million-dollar home," "a lavish wedding in Ireland" and "an engagement ring to Dita von Teese," Manson's former wife. In addition, Bier's lawsuit states that Manson also splurged on "sick and disturbing purchases of Nazi memorabilia and taxidermy (including the skeleton of a young Chinese girl)."
Bier said that when he requested his share of the so-called "partnership proceeds," Manson "devised a campaign to drive Bier out of the band and rob him of his entitlement."
Bier has played keyboards on every Manson album except for the newest one, "Eat Me, Drink Me". He was said to have left the Manson band shortly before the album's release in order to concentrate on his photography.
Manson has denied the charges, telling MTV News in August, "The fact that he's claiming that I've treated him unfairly, financially, is really ridiculous. And I would never spend my money on a Chinese girl skeleton. That would be crossing the line. It's a Chinese boy, for the record," he joked, before continuing. "[Bier and his lawyers are] going for shock value, obviously, and I couldn't be less surprised by how unshocking these things would be to the public."
Manson said he will defend himself against the allegations. "I wish there was some sort of legal angle to this whole thing, or some sort of common sense, or just even camaraderie after all the years that we knew each other," he continued. "I don't have an explanation for it. It just seems like another ex-bandmember suing me and trying to assassinate my personality as a means to financial gain, and it just seems old. It's just not fair. If I spent my money on anything, it was my family, and paying his salary for a year when we weren't even touring."
