MARILYN MANSON Countersues Ex-Bandmate For Breach Of Contract
The Associated Press reports that Marilyn Manson has struck back against his former bandmate by countersuing for breach-of-contract.
The rocker claims in court papers filed yesterday in Los Angeles that keyboardist Stephen Bier did not carry out obligations to take part in master recordings, concerts and the selling of band merchandise.
The lawsuit claims the pair's business partnership was dissolved in 1996 after the singer became the clear leader of the band.
Manson is seeking unspecified general and special damages.
Bier — known by his stage name Madonna Wayne Gacy — filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Manson in August seeking more than 20 million dollars.
Bier claims Manson stiffed him on salary and medical support while using band profits to live a lavish lifestyle. He claims Manson used the funds to buy a mansion, pay for drug treatment, produce a movie, buy Nazi memorabilia and hold a fancy wedding.

Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez Have Reunited
The duo that started it all, are back together to finish where they left off. The two who co-wrote Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holywood will be sharing the stage once again.
Joining Manson and Twiggy onstage for the U.S. leg of the Rape of the World Tour will be Chris Vrenna, Rob Holliday, and Ginger Fish. Tim Skold has amicably split with Manson, but future collaborations aren't being ruled out between the two.
Expectations for the upcoming tour are best described by quoting one of Manson's most infamous lyrics, "Everyone will suffer now". Looks like the shit is gonna hit the FANS.

Marilyn Manson Bringing Twiggy Songs, Satan, “One Giant Evil Cocktail” On Tour
With his “Rape of the World” tour set to terrorize Orlando, FL, tomorrow night, Marilyn Manson spoke with Rock Daily about what he has planned this time around. With bassist Twiggy Ramirez back in the fold, Manson promises that fans will “get a little bit of what they may have seen in the past, but turned up to a thousand.” That includes many older songs that Manson has refrained from playing in recent years “because they didn’t sound right” without Twiggy’s assistance. The reacquisition of Ramirez has invigorated Manson, who says, “It’s hard for us when we get together because we’re a real bad mixture of trouble. It’s going to be difficult for people to keep us from tearing our faces off.”
Twiggy may not be the only surprise Manson has up his sleeve, as his band’s recent tour with Slayer seems to have reaped some benefits. “I’ve invited Kerry King, who’s become a good friend of mine, to come play on stage with us for a few songs here and there. Hopefully we can not only bring Twiggy back but bring Satan back into one giant evil cocktail that’s one thousand proof.” Also figuring into that mixture is opening band Ours.
Manson was also eager to talk about his beloved film project, Phantasmagoria: Visions of Lewis Carroll. While the WGA strike and his current tour have pulled him away from the film, Manson predicts shooting will begin in either Prague or Romania in the late spring. “I’m going to be able to make a better film now because I had time to step away from script. I think its going to be a very disturbing film.”

Wes Borland Joins Marilyn Manson As Guitarist
Former LIMP BIZKIT/current BLACK LIGHT BURNS member Wes Borland has joined MARILYN MANSON as the group's new guitarist. The news was announced by Manson himself at a press conference earlier today ahead of his band's appearance tomorrow (Friday, August 15) at the ETP festival in Seoul, Korea.<br /> <br /> Manson said, "We have a new guitar player that's gonna play for the first time tomorrow; it's the first time we'll play on stage [together]. His name is Wes Borland and he used to be in a really terrible band that he left because he felt that it was a destructive force in art, and he has his own band, BLACK LIGHT BURNS, but now he is in MARILYN MANSON. We don't know how permanent that is, but starting tomorrow will be the first step. So this will be the most indestructible MARILYN MANSON."<br /> <br /> Watch a clip of Manson talking about Wes Borland joining the band below. (Note: Borland's name is mentioned around the 2:40 mark.)<br /> <br /> MARILYN MANSON is in the middle of recording a new album, which is expected to be released sometime next year.<br /> <br /> Manson's longtime bassist, Twiggy Ramirez, toured with Manson earlier this year for the first time since 2002. The two co-wrote "Antichrist Superstar", "Mechanical Animals" and "Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)" together and Manson told The Salt Lake Tribune this past spring that he couldn't be happier about Ramirez returning.<br /> <br /> "I missed having my best friend," Manson said. "We were like brothers."

Former MARILYN MANSON Bassist GIDGET GEIN Reportedly Found Dead In Burbank Lina Lecaro of the LA Weekly's music blog "Play" reports that former MARILYN MANSON bassist Gidget Gein (a.k.a. Brad Stewart) was found dead yesterday in his home in Burbank, California. He was a victim of an apparent drug overdose. Gein, who was reportedly kicked out of MARILYN MANSON due to drug problems just as the band was breaking through (and replaced by Twiggy Ramirez, who many say copped his style and look), recently completed a stint in rehab for what was apparently not the first time. Good pal Lenora Claire tells LA Weekly, "He had just got a book deal, was recording a record with the guy who produced the first JANE'S ADDICTION record and just landed a solo show at La Luz de Jesus that he had wanted for years." She says she plans to make sure the show, set for February of next year, still happens no matter what. Read more here:blogs.laweekly.com/play/news/rip-gidget-gein-local-artist-f/

Was MARILYN MANSON Asked To Perform For BARACK OBAMA?
Marilyn Manson's ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood has told E! Online that the shock rocker and his bassist Twiggy Ramirez were asked by Barack Obama's camp to perform in support of the campaign. "I advised them not to do it," Wood said Sunday night in L.A. at the Behind the Camera Awards, presented by Hamilton and Hollywood Life magazine. "I said, 'If you show up there, it's not going to be good. It's going to bring a lot of controversy, which I know you love, but Obama doesn't need it right now.' . . . [However] now that Obama's been officially elected, I might call Manson and say, 'Just go! Just go to the inauguration!' "
An Obama spokesperson quickly shot down Wood's claim, telling E! Online in an email, "That is not true."
