ROB ZOMBIE has told MTV News that he is back in the recording studio trying to finish the unnamed album he's been working on in fits and starts for over a year, aiming for a summer release.
Among those who've contributed to the nearly 30 instrumental tracks recorded to date are drummers Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE) and Tommy Lee and guitarists Wes Borland (before he rejoined LIMP BIZKIT) and John 5 (ex-MARILYN MANSON). Zombie is writing lyrics now and expects to tour this summer (reportedly as part of this year's Ozzfest), though no dates have been confirmed yet.
In other news, Zombie spoke to MTV News about the sequel to his first horror movie, 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses".
"I hate to say 'sequel,' because it usually means retreading the same ground," said Zombie of "The Devil's Rejects" (out July 22), his horror-Western that Lion's Gate recently moved up from late August in light of "unbelievable" test-screening scores. "I kept the major characters that I loved and spun them in a new direction and revamped them. The first movie was more wacky and colorful and tongue-in-cheek; this one is more down and bleak and real."
Though the film had a lower budget than the original, Zombie said it looks like it cost 10 times more. "I shot a lot of it in the bright daylight in wide open spaces because a lot of times horror movies are dark and spooky, but I think it's freakier to bring the violence into the blatant wide open. Nothing looks creepier than a bad car accident on a bright, beautiful day."

Former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5 has announced that he will be playing guitar for ROB ZOMBIE on the Hot Topic Second stage at this year's Ozzfest.
"I'm totally estatic about having the opportunity to play with Rob on Ozzfest!" John 5 said in a statement. "He has been one of my favorite artists for the longest time. I had the opportunity to play with him a few weeks back, and never thought that I would have the chance to share the stage with him playing the ZOMBIE songs we all know and love!"
When asked what this meant for LOSER, John's new band, he said, "This will not affect LOSER in any way. We are still pressing forward with writing new material for our debut album."
Commented Zombie: "I haven't really officially said this yet but once again I will be hitting the road with Ozzfest. This time I've decided to headline the second stage. Main is a drag, man. It's so uptight that it is almost a bore. I can't wait to get away from the fucking seat and play to all the maniacs that are always trapped up on the lawn. This should be insane.
"There are some lineup changes this time around. John 5 of ex-MARILYN MANSON fame will be handling guitar duties this time out. I'm totally stoked about this because this guy is a fucking shredder. I played 'Thunder Kiss 65' with him at The Arrowhead Pond Arena for a benefit a couple weeks back and it never sounded so fucking good."

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Zombie has been hard at work on his second movie as a director, "The Devil's Rejects", but what about his next album? Zombie's been recording the disc in bits and pieces for the last year, but said it's still not completed. "I've been making a record forever, I mean, and once again it's on hold 'cause I'm mixing the sound (for 'Devil's Rejects') and then in a couple of weeks I'll go back to the record and hopefully finish it someday," he said. "It's just one of those things, it's just — it always takes a backseat to the movie, and until the movie's, like, really done done, I can never say, 'Okay, it's record time.' But I mean, I have a lot done."
Zombie says he has 26 songs in various stages of readiness for the album.
Among the people who have played on the record so far are LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee and A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese. Former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5, who just joined Zombie's touring band, will also contribute to the album.
Zombie will headline the second stage of this summer's Ozzfest, beginning on July 15 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
"The Devil's Rejects" opens in theatres on July 22.

According to Monsters and Critics, the soundtrack album to "The Devil's Rejects", the follow up to Rob Zombie's gritty, violent smash horror hit, "House of 1000 Corpses", will be released on June 28, 2005. Written and directed by Zombie, "The Devil's Rejects" reunites the homicidal members of the Firefly family, tracing their bloody flight from an outlaw sheriff hell-bent on revenge...
Deftly blending classic western violence with macabre humor and terrifying suspense, "The Devil's Rejects" is a shocking portrait of outlaw justice and the soundtrack album is as twisted and fascinating as the film itself — bringing together '70s rock classics, tracks from long-forgotten rocker TERRY REID, country and blues gems, and a rarity from BANJO & SULLIVAN, the country duo who disappeared following a grisly murder committed by killers depicted in the film. Lions Gate Films will release the film on July 22, 2005 nationwide.
Presented as a DualDisc (one side CD, other side DVD), a first-ever for soundtracks, "The Devil's Rejects" (Hip-O/UMG Soundtracks/UMe) is available in explicit and edited versions. The DVD side includes a 20-minute "Making Of The Devil's Rejects" feature, trailers, a photo gallery and the album in High Resolution Stereo (DVD-Audio players) and Dolby Digital Stereo (standard DVD players). Dialogue snippets and two vintage BANJO & SULLIVAN radio ads are interspersed on the CD album side.
The rock classics are 1970's "Midnight Rider" from THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND; "Shambala", the gold Top 5 pop smash from THREE DOG NIGHT; "Fooled Around And Fell In Love", ELVIN BISHOP's gold Top 5 from 1976; "Funk #49", THE JAMES GANG's 1970 fave; the Top 40 "Rocky Mountain Way" from JOE WALSH's 1973 post-JAMES GANG solo debut; "Rock On", the 1973 Top 5 from cult pop star DAVID ESSEX, and "Free Bird", LYNYRD SKYNYRD's 1973 cut that is one of the most requested in album rock radio history.
Reid is heard with "Brave Awakening", "To Be Treated Rite" and the title track from his Graham Nash-produced 1976 album "Seed of Memory". The singer-songwriter-guitarist is legendary for rejecting the lead singer gig for the band that became LED ZEPPELIN, as he later did an offer from DEEP PURPLE. He opened for the ROLLING STONES on their 1969 U.S. tour but at age 20 his career stalled, and he has hardly recorded since the '70s.
Chicago bluesman OTIS RUSH contributes his 1956 R&B Top 10 "I Can't Quit You Baby". From country are KITTY WELLS' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels", a 1952 country #1; BUCK OWENS' 1966 honky tonk hymn "Satan's Got To Get Along With Me", and BANJO & SULLIVAN ("I'm Home Getting Hammered (While She's Out Getting Nailed)").

According to The Boston Globe, ROB ZOMBIE is planning to phase out music in the next few years to concentrate on writing and directing horror films. His first feature, "House of 1000 Corpses", earned $15 million in theaters and another $45 million in DVD sales, he said. Zombie's second film, "The Devil's Rejects", comes out nationally July 22.
"My future is movies," Zombie told The Boston Globe. "The music is dwindling down, because you can't do both. There's just not enough time in your life. If you try to do both, both will suffer. So you've got to make the choice. . . . And it's a new challenge. I've been doing music nonstop for 20 years and now I'm just fired up about movies."
Zombie, who grew up in Haverhill, is not calling Ozzfest his farewell tour. He's nearly completed a new album — with backup from Tommy Lee of MÖTLEY CRÜE, Josh Freese of A PERFECT CIRCLE, and Wes Borland of LIMP BIZKIT — and may tour again to support that. Meanwhile, his band for Ozzfest includes guitarist John 5 (formerly with MARILYN MANSON) and drummer Tommy Cluefetos, who normally plays with ALICE COOPER.

In other news, Zombie's second movie as a writer and director, "The Devil's Rejects", will receive a DVD and UMD (universal media disc) release on November 8. The following is Zombie's description of some of the extra features that will be available on "The Devil's Rejects" DVD:
1. First off is the documentary entitled '30 Days In Hell'. This is a very detailed 'making of' doc that follows the complete journey of the film from early meeting to the last day of shooting. If you ever wondered how much work it is to make a movie, this will give you some idea.
2. 'The Morris Green Show' — this is the local talk show that Gloria Sullivan is watching in the motel. Well, you get to see the entire 20-minute episode, featuring the very funny Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green and Dwayne Whitaker as Dr. Robert Bankhead as expert on occult crimes.
3. Deleted scenes — there is about 20 minutes of cut scenes, featuring such scenes as 'The Pork Rind Scene' with Ken Foree and EG Daily, 'Dr. Satan' featuring Dr. Satan, William Forsthye, MC Gainey and Rosario Dawson, and several other scenes featuring Michael 'Clevon' Berryman, Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley and others.
4. Otis's Home Movies — this will explain what happened to Valerie Green, one of the missing cheerleaders in the photo Wydell staples to Otis's chest.
5. Spaulding TV Commercials — first is Mary the Monkey Girl as seen in the film, and Spaulding's X-Mas commercial for his Murder Ride Gift certificates.
6. Blooper reel — highlights of things going wrong on set.
7. A tribute to Matt — this is a video tribute to our beloved Tiny.
8. Director commentary and actor commentary Sid, Bill and Sheri.
9. Trailers and TV spots
10. And possibly more… we are still working on it.
"Rejects" will be available in both R-rated and unrated versions so pay attention when you buy it.

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Zombie's second effort as a feature film director, "The Devil's Rejects", arrives on DVD today (Tuesday, November 8) in a special edition packed with extras, including a two-and-a-half hour documentary on the making of the movie. While Zombie has not yet announced what his next live-action feature will be, he's been working on an animated movie called "El Superbeasto". Zombie told Launch that the project has become bigger than he first thought it would be. "'Superbeasto', that has been in the process now for quite a while, and where we're at with the 'Superbeasto' movie is a movie studio has come in to take it over and to release it theatrically," he said. "It was originally done as a straight-to-video movie, that was always the intention, but, you know, I'm not a big fan of that. I always like theatrical, so we're trying to bump it up to that."
"El Superbeasto" is based on a character from Zombie's "Spookshow International" comic book series.
Zombie has set November 22 as the release date for "Hellbilly Super Deluxe", a special edition of his 1998 debut solo effort, "Hellbilly Deluxe". The new package will feature the original CD, plus a DVD that includes videos for every song on the record. In addition to eight never-before-seen video clips, the new "Hellbilly" package features expanded case and booklet artwork. Zombie is also making progress on his third solo album, which he hopes to release in early 2006.

ROB ZOMBIE: New Studio Album Due In March MoviesOnline recently conducted an interview with musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:
Q: Do you find there has been a lot of resistance to your filmmaking career because of your musical background? I mean, sometimes filmmakers look down their noses at people who have been in other fields who suddenly feel that they can make a movie...
Rob Zombie: "Yeah, I know what you're saying. I think that it was the case definitely with the first film ('House of 1000 Corpses'), and maybe even with the second film ['The Devil's Rejects'] until people actually SAW the second film. But the response to 'Devil's Rejects' has been so positive, that vibe has now gone away. People responded to the creative aspects of 'Rejects' so strongly, that any kind of studio executive or even other filmmakers don't feel that I'm just 'dabbling' in their world."
Q: That's good. It IS an outstanding film. I felt that it was a lot more confident. you know what you want to show, how you want to tell your story.
Rob Zombie: "Yeah, I mean you can equate this stuff to anything else. Hopefully you get better each time you do it. You need the experience of doing it. The first film..it is what it is, the the second film improves on that. And I hope to make the third film far superior to the second one."
Q: A lot of studios these days are releasing remakes, like "The Fog" for example. All these PG-13 rated, watered down for the kids, full-of-these-theme-park-scares kind of films.
Rob Zombie: "My opinion on this is influenced by the fact that I never go see these movies. To me, they're the equivalent of old teen thrillers that should be starring Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. That's what these films seem like to me. They're just not that violent or that vicious or that horrible or that intense. They're horror movies for the Hilary Duff generation. They don't want to be offensive, they just want everybody to be good-looking. The scenes are mostly a loud noise where somebody jumps out. That's not scary, that's startling. Somebody said with 'Devil's Rejects', 'It wasn't scary, I didn't jump once.' What's with equating jumping to being scared? So, I don't see those movies. They don't interest me. They're Disney horror."
Q: Off topic now, I read in a previous interview that you were near the tail end of your music career and wanted to focus on movies. Is there any truth to that?
Rob Zombie: "Well, at that point in time with that interview, I had worked on 'Rejects' nonstop for almost a year, so that was all I could see. I'm actually just finishing up an album that should be out around March, and then I'll probably start another movie. For the moment, I'm still flip flopping between the two.
Q: That's good news.
Rob Zombie: "It's difficult to do both, but I continue to try."

NEW ROB ZOMBIE, "Educated Horses", Drops 3/28/06
Geffen Records has set a March 28 release date for the new ROB ZOMBIE album, entitled "Educated Horses". The follow-up to 2001's "The Sinister Urge" was recorded at Los Angeles' Chop Shop Studios with co-producer Scott Humphrey and will include 11 tracks — including an acoustic number called "Death of It All", "Seventeen Year Locusts" and the album's first single, "Foxy, Foxy". "We were just very inspired this time," Zombie told MTV.com. "It's amazing how different things can be when you work with people who are excited and energetic and just so into it, that they just really inspire you to create things." ZOMBIE's upcoming tour with LACUNA COIL and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will be his first outing since last summer's Ozzfest, where he headlined the second stage with a band that also included former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5, drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Rob "Blasko" Nicholson. "Before Ozzfest, I didn't have any plans to tour again at all. I was sort of sick of it, truthfully. Everything with my last band started to turn ugly and it wasn't that fun," he explained to MTV.com. "With the new band, I just had such a good time that really, as corny as it sounds, it seemed like the old days — we're having a band, we're playing and it's just fun. Once being in a band turns stressful, you go, 'What the f--- am I doing?' It was really fun, and we came off the tour and started making a record and it just clicked. The record ... we were like, 'These are the best songs ever. It would be stupid not to finish it.' " Rob Zombie shown here with with Lindsay Lohan.

ROB ZOMBIE Provides Some Education On New Album Title
Launch Radio Networks reports: Following albums with titles like "Hellbilly Deluxe" and "The Sinister Urge", "Educated Horses" may seem like an offbeat name for the third solo effort from ROB ZOMBIE.
But Zombie told Launch that was exactly the point. "I just wanted to do something different," he said. "I've sort of had a new philosophy, also with music, to do the exact opposite of what I would normally do. You know, maybe some people will be, like, pissed off because it's not what they expect, but I just think that once music starts becoming like you're a Vegas performer...you know, you don't ever want to be like Barry Manilow at the Sands — 'Oh, let's do 'Copacabana' again.'"
Zombie explained the meaning of the title: "It was a weird kind of phrase, like, that I remembered as something as a kid. You know, my parents, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, the whole family, were involved in carnival business and, like, circus business, so as a kid, we would get dragged to these things, and we'd have to spend all this time there. And that was just one of the attractions I remember, what they would call the trained animals, you know, educated horses."
"Educated Horses" comes out on March 28. The first single from the album, called "Foxy, Foxy", is accompanied by a video directed by Zombie.
The singer took five years off between studio albums while he wrote and directed his first two movies, the 2003 horror hit "House Of 1000 Corpses" and its sequel, 2005's "The Devil's Rejects" as well as swinging his heavy metal hair.
Zombie begins a headlining U.S. tour on March 17 in Jacksonville, Florida, with Italian rockers LACUNA COIL along as support.

Video Of 'Jay Leno' Performance Posted OnlineA video clip of ROB ZOMBIE's live performance of the track "American Witch" on NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" — which was taped in the afternoon of March 15, 2006 for broadcast later that night — has been posted online at YouTube.com: www.youtube.com/v/AyEmc7sE_lIAfter a few people suggested that Zombie and his band must have been "lip-synching" during their performance (due to the broadcast's better-than-usual live sound), Zombie responded, "All I can say is thanks! We were of course playing live (I think that's pretty obvious) and I guess we sounded pretty tight. If anyone thought it was on tape, well, that's great. I told you the band never sounded so good. The folks at 'Leno' are very cool and let us have plenty of time to get the sound just right as opposed to most TV situations where you are just throw out there with no chance of getting a good sound." "American Witch" comes off Zombie's new album, "Educated Horses", which is scheduled for release on March 28 via Geffen Records. The follow-up to 2001's "The Sinister Urge" was recorded at Los Angeles' Chop Shop Studios with co-producer Scott Humphrey, who had previously worked with Rob on the platinum hits "Hellbilly Deluxe" and "The Sinister Urge". ROB ZOMBIE Slams Internet 'Haters'
J. Bennett of Decibel magazine (http://decibelmagazine.com/) recently conducted an interview with Rob Zombie. An excerpt from the chat follows:
Decibel: Have you ever gone onto a message board to see what people are saying about you?
Rob Zombie: "I have a couple of times, but that's bad news. I'm just baffled by how things function these days - not because I don't understand it, but because when I was a kid, everything was about why you liked something. You were obsessed with it, and you couldn't wait to get more. Now there's like this subculture of haters - people who wanna complain about everything and tell you why it's wrong. It's just such a bummer. And it seems like the more someone's a fan of something, the more they act like that. I don't get it. If you don't like something, why would you ever waste two seconds talking about it?"
Decibel: A lot of it has to do with the fact that people have total anonymity online.
Rob Zombie: "Right - that's the whole thing. You can be totally spineless. It always cracks me up when you see someone complaining on a message board all the time, and you get a mental picture of that person. And then they post a picture of themselves and you're like, 'This is the guy telling everybody how it should be done?'"
Decibel: And of course they live at home with their mom.
Rob Zombie: "Literally. All the Internet stuff is the same silly discussions kids have been having for years, but the only difference is that now it's posted for the whole world to see. When I think back to the dopey conversations I had with my friends when I was 14, I thank god no one could read them on the Internet. What the fuck did we know about anything? [Laughs] It's like, if mom's still calling you for dinner, please don't comment on anything."
Decibel's entire interview with Rob Zombie can be found in the magazine's May 2006 issue.

ROB ZOMBIE Not Looking To Make Straight Remake Of 'Halloween'
Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Zombie recently announced that he will direct a new version of the classic 1978 horror film, "Halloween", but except for saying that it wouldn't be a sequel, he left the details a little vague. Would the movie then be a prequel or a straight remake or a homoerotic thriller? Zombie told Launch that his "Halloween" will be a little bit of both. "I basically went back and just came up with the idea of basically — not essentially a remake, but a very extended prequel sort of combined with an update, say, of the first film," he said. "You're starting from scratch but in sort of a more detailed way. That's the way I thought it would be exciting for fans of the original, because it's not just the same old thing, and it would be exciting for people that never saw the original."
The original "Halloween" was directed by John Carpenter and followed a masked murderer named Michael Myers who comes back to his hometown to begin a new killing spree decades after being committed to an asylum.
Zombie said that other characters from the original, in addition to Myers, would appear in his script, which is in its early stages.
Production on the film could begin later this year, with an October 2007 release planned.
Zombie will kick off his "American Witch Across America" tour on June 30 in El Paso, Texas, and will begin a co-headlining trek with GODSMACK on August 25 in Dallas.

ROB ZOMBIE Talks About Directing Films, Performing Live
Steve Penhollow of The Journal Gazette recently conducted an interview with Rob Zombie. A few excerpts from the chat follow:
On bands that offer stripped-down shows:
"I think people go to concerts now expecting to be bored, which is horrible. I find myself watching concerts and thinking: 'What are they doing? Why would they think I would give a (expletive)?'
"It's not a matter of spectacle. I mean, Tom Jones and Tony Bennett don't offer a lot of spectacle, but they certainly know how to entertain. I see these young bands and I think, 'You won't be around in six months if you keep putting audiences to sleep.' "
On his obsession with the grisly:
"I don't know that anyone can truly say why they're obsessed with anything. I guess I'm just fascinated by things that aren't the everyday."
On his upcoming animated film, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto":
"It's for adults. It's a totally unique project: a superhero, monster, sex comedy. Paul Giamatti plays Dr. Satan. There are a lot of good people in it. It's hilarious."
On being hired by Miramax to remake one of his favorite films, John Carpenter's "Halloween", the movie that started (the slasher-film phenomenon:
"I am, like everybody else, wary of the whole idea of revisiting things like that. But after working on it for a couple of months, I realized I could do it in such a way that it would honor the original and re-imagine it at the same time.
"The original had a certain class that got eaten away with each sequel."
On directing films:
"I am always reading books by directors about directing, and they all say the same thing. Filmmaking is all about trying to solve problems that don't have an answer. When dentists find a cavity, they drill it and fill it. On a movie set, every day it's like: 'How do I solve this? This doesn't make sense.' "

ROB ZOMBIE Writing Songs For 'El Superbeasto' Soundtrack
ROB ZOMBIE has told AOL Music that fans won't have to wait for his next studio album to hear new music. "Our in-between record will be the soundtrack for the animated movie I'm doing, 'The Haunted World of El Superbeasto'," he said. "That'll be in theaters in 2007, and we're writing songs for that right now."
Zombie, who produced and wrote the movie, said he hopes to take "El Superbeasto" from comic book to animated film to live action: "I want to eventually turn it into a live-action feature," he said. "But in order to be live action it'd be a big budget, so I wanted to make it animated first." The movie is set to be directed by 'SpongeBob SquarePants' writer and contributing voice Doug "Mr." Lawrence, who, like Zombie, knows a little something about animation.

ROB ZOMBIE has tapped Phil Parmet to film a documentary based on his current tour. According to Rob, "The film starts in rehearsals and goes through every day of the next tour. Of course we will be looking to film some of the craziest most interesting fans we can find. . . This film wil be released on DVD with a live concert CD in one giant awesome package!"
Parmet previously worked with Zombie on his horror feature "The Devil's Rejects" as the director of photography.
ROB ZOMBIE's third single, "Let It All Bleed Out", from his "Educated Horses" CD went for radio adds last week. This track comes on the heels of the successful single "American Witch", which Zombie performed on CBS-TV's "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" last Friday (August 11).

ROB ZOMBIE Says He Is Already Writing Songs For New Album
Mike Daniel of The Dallas Morning News recently conducted an interview with Rob Zombie. A few excerpts from the chat follow:
On his co-headlining tour with GODSMACK:
"I think it's a perfect bill, really. It gets harder and harder to do these things, to match up two bands whose fans are similar, but not so similar to where there's too much crossover."
On his new stage show:
"We've got so many things to coordinate: lights, pyrotechnics, dancing girls. We want to make sure no one gets killed, you know?"
On what GODSMACK has planned for their show:
"I kind of didn't want to know, honestly. I want to be surprised as much as the fans do."
On performing at Ozzfest 2005 in Dallas for nearly an hour at the full mercy of the sun as the second-stage headliner on one of last year's hottest days;
"Oh, yeah, I remember that show. It was so hot you start to hallucinate. And it's true; my shoes really were melting! ... Being in the shade this time will help. But to make up for the fact that we won't have the sun, we're planning a bunch of pyrotechnics and other sources of heat."
On his active filmmaking and publishing activities, which include an animated feature film this fall ("The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", featuring the voices of Paul Giamatti and Danny Trejo); his remake of the horror classic "Halloween" (to be shot into 2007 and released late that year); and hosting a new Turner Classic Movies cult-flick showcase, "TCM Underground", which will premiere in October:
"At most it'll be a year break from music. We're already writing songs for the new record, and there'll be a live record that comes out soon — that'll be a first for me — and a tour-documentary DVD sometime next year.
"I'm not planning on slowing down at all. It's just not in my nature."

ROB ZOMBIE's 'TCM Underground' To Launch This FridayTurner Classic Movies (TCM) will join with faithful followers of cult films in an appreciation of the often misunderstood, sometimes maligned genre in the network's newest weekly movie franchise, "TCM Underground", to be hosted by filmmaker and legendary rocker Rob Zombie, it has been announced by Tom Karsch, executive vice president and general manager of TCM. The late-night showcase, which will feature off-the-wall or avant-garde movies chosen and introduced by Zombie, is set to launch Friday, Oct. 13, at 2 a.m. ET / 11 p.m. PT. Among the movies scheduled to be featured on "TCM Underground" are horror master George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" and "The Crazies", Ed Wood's "Bride Of The Monster" and the originator of horror Tod Browning's "Freaks", as well as Leonard Castle's offbeat "The Honeymoon Killers", the story of which also serves as the basis for the new thriller "Lonely Hearts", starring John Travolta, James Gandolfini, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto and Laura Dern. "'TCM Underground' will serve as home to some of the truly visionary cult films that have been made over the past century, from stylish horror movies to offbeat black comedies," said Karsch. "I can't think of a better mix than having Rob Zombie host classic cult films made by heroes of the genre, people like George Romero, Ed Wood and Russ Meyer. And we think Rob will be a great asset in making these classics more accessible to a new generation of film fans." Zombie has made a name for himself challenging audiences by stretching the boundaries of film, music and publishing. He recently took film to a new level with his critically acclaimed "House of 1000 Corpses" and its high-octane follow-up "The Devil's Rejects". He is now working on his next film project, the animated horror film "The Haunted World of Superbeasto" starring Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, slated for release May 10, 2007.
